Climate change or coronavirus? 'Pick your evil', protesters say

Protesters at a rally led by climate activist Greta Thunberg on Friday denounced governments for taking urgent action against the coronavirus outbreak but failing to treat global warming as an emergency.

Several thousand people braved the rain in Brussels with the 17-year-old Swede, marching through the city that is home to the European Union's main institutions.

"It is shameful that for so long the climate and environmental emergency has been ignored. We are still in a crisis that has never once been treated like a crisis," Thunberg told the demonstrators in a speech.

Some supporters said they had put aside concerns about being infected with the coronavirus in a crowd to join the march.

"It's pick your evil. Do you want to die from global warming or from coronavirus?" said Gorkem, 40, wearing a face mask.

"One of them gets much more attention than the other, so we are trying to raise a bit more awareness about what is already affecting all our lives."

How do you vote if you prefer a combination of the three choices?

Say you choose to contract the virus, then climate change renders the virus impotent due to global warming (see the temperature range where the virus dies off), and you just want all the nonsense to stop via a nuclear explosion?

Hmmm, you are right, the nuclear war option would kill off the Coronavirus.  Not sure what nuclear war would do about Climate Change though.

Perhaps you could consider asking Greenpeace for a research grant, to investigate the effect of nuclear war on climate change.

LMAO, someone set up a troll site about Coronavirus, and is having waaaay too much fun with it.

Truth Information, Real Knowledge, Uncensored News About Corona Virus NCOV COVID19, Cure & Solution

There are too much stupid information about this epidemic event from all entities including the authority, governments, media, individual person, etc. So I have decide to tell you the truth whether you able to deal and cope with the information or not, it is up to you.

Fact 1:
The corona virus NCOV COVID-19 is much smaller than ant.
When a tiny being virus vs a giant being human, there is no need to fear, all you need to do is understand the “trick” of the game and will easily win the battle and overcome that virus.

Fact 2:
In order to overcome and able to deal with the virus, you must face the truth and you must able to answer just only 3 questions:
     1. What is the origin of this virus, how it was made?
     2. Why some nations spread virus much faster than other?
     3. What are the features, the strength & weakness of this virus?

Fact 3:
The virus NCOV COVID-19 was born because of the man made 5G mobile network and the nature virus adapt to stay alive (evolution), that is the only reason you have this virus.

Prove me wrong if you or any authority able to tell and have better explanation the true origin of the virus please.

If not then my statement is correct.

Fact 4:
All the positive negative test can only tell you the density of the virus in human body, it cannot detect the “small seed virus”, no any machine able to detect that seed for they are too small.

That is the reason why you have people get reinfected.

Fact 5:
The NCOV COVID-19 is the most deadly virus humanity ever face in this civilization. If you able to deal and win vs this virus, you will can easily deal with any kind of diseases like HIV, Cancer, SARS, etc.  ...

          (the list goes on ...)

I wonder if my skills could be transferable into the new WW3 against the Coronavirus, with a little training I could geosteer microscopic nuclear bombs directly through the body into the heart of the virus, a little like that scene in Starwars where they destroy the death star.

Just off to brush up my C.V

Walking in a soaking rain is a good way to reduce your immunity. They may have their answer soon enough and in a personal way.

Global warming is not sure to kill anyone. Covid 19 surely is.

Perhaps more environmentalist protests in the freezing cold rain in T shirts is the solution to the global warming problem.

Oops, I forgot to add option 4 in the poll,

Zombie Apocalypse  (brain eaten death)

Walking in a soaking rain may lead to that Zombie Apocalypse.

We would most likely die from governments and governmental organizations inventing things that will kill us. Nuclear weapons, chemical, biological, and radiological especially. It could also be mad scientists, a large meteor, volcanic activity, etc.

I think that plenty of people would survive and start over again, hopefully with better values and more wisdom to make peace not war.

Thank God, I am there already. I also know how small a footprint cities cover compared to how much land there is in America.

Covid 19 is highly communicable but no more deadly than prior influenzas per case. Keep in mind that we lose 25,000 Americans to influenza in an average year.

Only about 45% of adults bother to get vaccinated. Flu vaccination coverage among adults during the 2018–19 season remains lower than national objectives, at only 45.3% based on BRFSS. BRFSS data indicated a 6.2 percentage point decrease from the 2016–17 to the 2017–18 season, and then

Gentlemen

Not too sure what to make of this thread, tongue-in-cheek wise, light hearted perspective, complete dismissal of this coronavirus issue ... Serious people may well disregard St. Greta, of course.

Quick presentation of some recent data points, primarily sparked by the Shanghai Medical Association just releasing their findings on effective (or not) protocols in treating coronavirus victims ...

This may be the first time - anywhere - that an established medical body has strongly endorsed high intake of Vitamin C to successfully treat illnesses.

While the Chinese are using IV treatments, laypeople may benefit by high intake of unbuffered Vitamin C taken throughout the day. That's the inexpensive powdered stuff.

The beneficial effects of Allicin have long been recognized throughout history, without being labelled as such.

Crushed garlic, preferably organic, produces the compound Allicin.

The fact that young people have shown a high degree of resistance to this virus had been attributed to their - collectively - stronger immunity systems.

Most likely that is correct, but granular (near global, frenzied) research is pointing to an additional aspect ... the reduced amount of a specific receptor protein in older people.

This protein can be  replenished by ingesting whey supplements.

The re-creation of a specific event - an unaware, infected man entering a bus in late January, and then infecting an additional 9 people during a 4 hour bus ride displays the highly  contagious nature of this bug along with its  aerosolized transmittive capability. (One bus passenger sat ~15 feet away from Patient Zero).

This bus incident was just posted on today's (Monday, 3/9) Zero Hedge site.

As the horrific stories start to emerge from Italy,  the minimization of what is unfolding will come to be recognized as the gross blindness so often brought about by the human propensity towards Normalcy Bias.

Good luck, folks.

They say the protein receptor is an ACE-Inhibitor site. This is the Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme-Inhibitor site, where very--VERY--popular antihypertensive drugs (like enalapril) land. There are lots of smart people out there analyzing this, but is it possible that those taking ACE-Inhibitors are the ones that die off?

Mr. Maddoux

Seems like you have been closely following this stuff.

Good for you.

Regarding the specific ACE 2 receptor sites, it seems that it was early on recognized that these receptors were prime 'landing points'  in both the upper and lower respiratory systems. As, apparently, different racial groups across the globe have identifiably varied numbers of these receptors, darker theories immediately arose surrounding the origins of this virus.

I do not know the answer to your question, and the staggering amount of 'questionable' info being put forth all over the place makes for a vexatious quest ... to put it mildly.

A fair amount of open mindedness combined with keen observing may serve us well in the coming weeks.
