China Backtracks on Coal Ban

China might be chewing up LNG--even buying on the spot market at high prices--but the push for cleaner fuel has proven to be a bit too ambitious. China has reversed the ban on coal for the cities that are without LNG, allowing them to bun coal or firewood to keep warm.

LNG demand should still be strong even as 28 cities revert to coal.
