BP will provide free petrol to emergency services during Coronavirus pandemic

The multinational Oil & Gas company BP have announced their commitment to helping emergency services and those in need during the current coronavirus pandemic. 

The company has launched 2 initiatives in the UK, which they intend to keep in place until at least the end of April.

Firstly they intend to supply free fuel to emergency service vehicles, through fuel cards used by ambulance, fire and police services. This includes charging of electric vehicles.

And secondly, from 23rd March they will offer delivery of food and other conveniences from their company-owned stores without a charge. They further say they are expanding the number of retail sites from which Deliveroo deliveries can be ordered - from which they hope delivery charges can be waived - and are offering M&S products and other convenience goods without a premium.  ...

I have to say it’s slightly weird and a lot of irony that whilst the country is in isolation there has never been such a sense of pulling together since WW2

communities are really showing genuine compassion and putting other people first like I can never remember. It must be true that there is always a positive from every negative situation

Not an American company.

Besides do traditional balance sheet analysis, etc.. Big energy is here for a lot more years. Market Capitalization will bounce around like crazy, but folks will be pumping, and buying oil a hundred years from now.
