If this was your experience, I do understand your views.  Your pronouncements though, still seem rather broad but again, understandable that you would feel that way.

Your minimum wage is $7/hour. I call that slavery? However, like all Western countries (including Australia), the unions prefer excessive wages and entitlements over job security? I would never set up a manufacturing plant in ANY western country! Why would you? Sure fire way to lose ur dough?

All very nice little (aside from Canada), mostly cold countries with very small populations and left wing governments. They all have top down big government systems compared to ours. None of them wield much clout economically or geopolitically.

We have a Bill of Rights, and a constitution that is actually followed to a great extent.

Anyone can make up a list of popular countries based on anything they wish. The actual test is where people choose to live and try to emigrate to. The winner is America.

On a per capita basis, it is Australia?

I see plenty of guns and rednecks in USA, not many computers, brains or money? They all in Asia now?

I think phenomenon of Trump comes from lack of democracy and change in US politics.

Majority of Congressmen are for life in their regions, this causes enormous corruption.

People just cannot vote in the United States, in most States 2 Parties are not solution.

People had a chance to choose President that is outsider from corrupt establishment so they chosen Trump.

I understand why so many Trump supporters. Trump gives you hope that they can have a choice , that something could be changed in US oligarchy.

Actually Trump is the first President since Eisenhower that is a Real person, not political slave of corrupt establishment.

Remarkably astute observation from your view from over there in Poland, Marcin.  I'm impressed.

"Stone the crows" comes from an actual event which happened in the late 1800s, just south of Roebourne in Western Australia. A teenager who was part of the original white settlement there was becoming exasperated with the flies and the heat and in a moment of temper he picked up a stone to throw at a crow.

strange bunch of people! Never quite got over us deporting them to the other side of the world😂😂

only joking Wombat and any other Aussies!

Our settlers were primarily seeking religious freedom. The Spanish were also imposing their version of Christianity on the native American people. The northern European colonists were also guilty of imposing their culture and religion on the lands they took over from the indigenous people. The Jews took over Israel from the native people also. More advanced cultures have always done the same thing all around the world. I am not aware of any exceptions. Some tiny tribes still exist in Amazonia or New Guinea etc. Canada and the U.S.A. have large and small reservations that were granted to various tribes of native Americans.

No. The Jews were expelled from their homeland, and returned and are taking it back. Palestinians not "natives", the Jews are. U watch too much CNN?

More and more protests are springing up around the U.S.

Far left Democrat governors can ignore this backlash if they wish.

But they need to remember that they are ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES and were not elected to become Dictator Overlords that burn the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Do take note of the amount of the bright yellow "DON'T TREAD ON ME" flags in the 90 second video:

The Gadsden flag is a historical American flag with a yellow field depicting a timber rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike. Positioned below the rattlesnake are the words "DONT TREAD ON ME". The flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden, who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag, along with the Moultrie flag.

Good beaches, but a nanny state. Worth a visit, not a stay.

Proportionally speaking, just as many, if not more, rednecks as America.

Nanny State:

Australia

The term has been used to describe the policies of both federal and state governments. Canadian journalist and magazine publisher Tyler Brûlé argued that Australian cities were becoming over-sanitised and the country was on the verge of becoming the world's dumbest nation. This was blamed on the removal of personal responsibility and the increase in the number and scope of health and safety laws.[5]Liberal Democrats senator David Leyonhjelmalso used the term when launching an Australian Senate enquiry into laws and regulations that restrict personal choice "for the individual's own good".[6] The term has also been used to criticise mandatory bicycle helmet laws, gun control laws, prohibitions on alcohol in public places, plain packaging for cigarettes and pub/club lockout laws.[7]

They are Jews too. But don't like that to be mentioned. They were those not expelled. They later became christian and then moslem. But for some reason they don't want to resume their ancestral religion or acknowledge their genetic and historic heritage. Jews are natives, so are most Palestinians that remain in the West Bank at least. They didn't leave because unlike the refugees, they didn't expect to be able to rejoin relatives in Syria, Lebanon, or Egypt. Not thatthose relatives were wiling to accommodate them.

Could you guys go to work this morning defending this....

President says State Governors are responsible for re-opening plans.  States begin to formulate plans following Federal guidelines, no large gatherings, etc.

Trump then begins tweeting "Liberate Minnesota, etc.", encouraging violations of his own guidelines in at least 3 States.

I guess I'd say...playing to his base.  I do realize people have to get back to life, I get that entirely and want to myself, but I just don't get how this makes sense when the people at his own press conference are saying don't do this.  Before you start, I didn't read any of this in the mainstream media or other leftist, Marxist scumbag tools of the government.

Thoughts?

One thing I fail to understand is the concept of  GOP (not RINO) is closer to  Fascism while DEM is opposite spectrum from Fascism from Main Stream. Correct me if I am misunderstanding.

1 Market: Fascism regulated heavily for state control industry and Market, with GOV power. Socialism/Communism Countries do the same. DEM wants to regulate more. GOP wants to deregulate, decentralized power. In this sense, DEM tends to get closer to Fascism spectrum.

2 Social Security : Fascism promised on social security and protection from Capitalists, closer to the spectrum of with Socialism/Communism/DEM. GOP promises less.

3 Trade/Globalization:Fascism no free trade but want to export political globalization (or we wouldn't have WW2). DEM advocated for free trading (but only on US side, China can do free trading in the US but not the other way round, with spending for World Organizations and Globalization) and Socialism/Communism originated from World Socialist Movement so no free trade). China raised in power is thanks to Globalization . GOP advocates fair trade and some degrees of less Globalization.

4 Racism/Human Right:  Fascism offered sub zero, really racist with concentration camps.  Communism Countries (Past and Present) although have concentration camps, they are less degree of racism with the World Socialist Movement. They oppress(ed) both minorities, neighbors  or their own races who accidentally make them angry or disagrees with their governments and some government is powerful enough to try to enforce compulsory organ donation to these groups.

DEM in the past opposed to accept boat men from VN ( especially Joe Biden) and now they are advocating for illegal immigrants and sanctuary cities and no wall. GOP accepted boatmen from VN but now build more walls to exercise sovereignty. Both have a trend of more deportations, mentioned silently or loudly by Main Stream. Both deeply care about  the World Human Right (from the outside).

----------------

I wished I had lived (not now) in UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain or Australia/Canada ... to understand more about their political systems and compare to the US. My view now is why they keep voting for the wrong leader with many mistakes but realize that they may have the same view to the US election. NZ is too small and there is less room for corruption and more transparency. This applies for most small western countries, but generally high house price and low after tax incomes (I am  territorial) compensates with good social security and cheap healthcare but not much resources for complicated/expensive treatment diseases.

And now I can see more and more the rising of mental healthcare yet I think we all have mental/emotional problems in some degrees. We are trying to counter it with logic and empathy and less media. What if someone just decides I am mental and through me to some lunatic asylum? This gave the mental doctors too much power and in the other hands, can decide who will have mental illness benefits. We are all afraid of death or bankruptcy, so  demand for  healthcare is unlimited while resources are limited.

Oil is traded in American dollars and they are the global military and economic hegemon, any country that buys or sells oil has a direct interest in American politics, policy and economy.  Americans have been interfering directly and indirectly with the politics of allies and enemies alike for almost a century and now that the empire is starting to crumble they don't like seeing the shoe on the other foot?

Smiles i do believe you have illuminated a very serious issue. Opinions and possible outcomes.

Personally I believe this outbreak will lead us all back to fundamentals. Those things that are necessary to move life and the human experience forward.

It is easy to observe a lot of egos getting bruised along the way, let us hope they can be constrained in a way that does not cause to much harm.

Yesterday I watched a bunch of speed boats harass a modern navy..It was almost to much to watch. A world gone insane with ego.

Fundamentals will win this melt down...back to basics. I always cringed when those words were uttered. We all are going to experience some amazing events..

To the point of this thread, like it not Trumps message of fundamentals won him a election, and the world was watching with fascination or horror. Then came covid 19..a fast track to change...what a world.

Sticktly a opinion your mileage will vary.

I suppose if people just sit at home, consume and watch the TV nothing will change?

The left or whatever you want to call them have pretty much refused to relinquish power even though they're becoming a minority, I am not just talking about the US I can see that in many European countries and especially in the UK. Regardless of Brexit or Trump or what ever they still seem to control the narrative and the institutions of power and now we have a massive crisis on our hands both a virus and a potential economic disaster they still double down.

-----

Now for a bit of tin foil hattery just for fun

What is scarey is the whole Qanon thing (some may or may not be aware of it). It's a very clever and well crafted operation but imho totally fake. Up to now it's pacified many of the 'lock her up' type of people who 'trust the plan' etc. What happens when those people realise that things will just get worse and worse and potentially nothing will ever change?

Jan wanted twilight zone stuff well here you go 😂

The usa were in former times the leader of the western world and the most democratic states, whether you like usa or not, it was a fact.

Many problems can only be solved, when the democratic states are united, the chinese spying , unfair trade and and and. Trump has diveded  the democratic nations and made the usa an untrusted state, which breaks contracts.

The usa wanted the UN, the WHO and and and in the USA to have more influence ! so they cannot now stop payings, because there are elections !

The usa have so many military facilitys all over the word, not to help only the countries, they have it, to controll the world, so they have to pay for it, or the usa are now only mercenaries ?, then the nations shoud pay for it and treat it like mercenaris, but not as friends and allies as in former times.

And this is the reason, why non us and non chinese are interested in american politics, for my opinion.

The usa are no longer the first in all fields, only trump believes it and some of his supporters ! No country is now independent and everybudy needs cooperation - and sometimes help. The usa now from the little switzerland (Roche ) to get test kits, when they should work correct ! and and and
