What are the taxes you have to pay on your gasoline?

In Denmark we pay around $0.70 in tariffs and taxes - on top of that +25% sales tax.

That means the gasoline price at the pump has only been reduced by some $0,50 since February. The actual price at this moment is $1.26 for premium unleaded.

In the UK we pay 57.95 pence per litre in fuel duty (includes VAT). But those that emit fewer emissions are charged less.

I last saw that unleaded was 102.7 pence.

What do the taxes paid on gasoline, at the pump, have to do with the oil and gas industry?
