No joke, some scientists have discovered that if they increase the rate of charge/discharge, the dendrites that form on the lithium end of the battery basically melt, reducing the risk of a short circuit and making the battery last longer. Sounds funny since too-fast charging of car batteries increases the risk of dendrites but that's tech for you. Could have huge implications for EVs. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
