Nikola Motors Slams Tesla, Refunds Reservations.

Nikola Motors will refund all pre-orders for its fuel-cell powered heavy-duty trucks, adding that customers will not lose their place in line. Twitter post from NMC says that it is refunding customers because they do not need customer reservation money to run its company. Harsh. So harsh.

According to another post, NMC claims $8 billion in pre-order reservations.

I think the idea was that they are changing their minds. They are not taking any more money, and are refunding the ones who already paid.

Overconfidence, no doubt. This last minute change of mind was just their desperate move. They are aware they have no chance against Tesla and they had to make something big.
