Renewables Cheer Higher Oil Prices

The higher oil prices will be a welcome relief for renewables, which really took a hit in the low-price oil environment. Apathy is renewables biggest curse, and nothing is a better cure for apathy than money. As oil prices rise, more and more people will become interested in renewables and EVs. My eight-passenger suburban is sitting in the driveway now that gas has went up 50 cents in the last couple days. No, I'm not going to run out and buy an EV (and charge it NO WHERE), but I'm happy to drive my conservative Honda Civic to save on gas.

In Canada, too. This summer they're saying gas prices will be the most expensive they've been in a decade, so I'm seriously considering an EV myself.

Yeah, last year this time WTI was like $50, and this summer many think it will be $70, which isn't unrealistic from where it's at now.
