The reason the hit was done in public was because it would look like an accident, or at worst, a clumsy police procedure.  Not as if there is a shooting and then the messy problem of hiding and disposing of the body.

Mr. Floyd had to go simply because the passing of the counterfeit $20, and being caught, would bring in the US Secret Service, which agency would immediately take custody of Floyd, move him to their facilities, and proceed to both grill him and offer him a "deal" if he exposed his sources.  That would bring the whole house down on both the CIA funding stream and the FBI covert-intelligence operation running out of that strip club.   that gets seriously embarrassing fast.  So the Secret Service had to be precluded from getting to Floyd, he had to get hit first.

Unless Chauvin dies in custody, he will have to be "protected," or else the smooth racket will collapse and other players will be fired or go to jail.  It is how big-city organized crime works.  Ask anyone in Chicago; they know the score.  A classic hit. Had nothing to do with "race".

I have lived in big cities (with organized crime a large presence) long enough, met enough mobsters, observed how they operate  (mostly with subtle intimidation, rarely with rough stuff,  but you certainly want to avoid irritating those guys) and dealt with enough policemen, to understand the dynamics.  This goes on in every single large city on the planet.  All cities have organized crime, and typically they control the vices:  prostitution, gambling, union rackets (especially construction), sale and distribution of concrete, labor racketeering, garbage collection, loan sharking, and the ports.  Interestingly, narcotics seem to be run by specialized, and very violent, criminal gangs, the classic mobsters steer clear because of the gigantic penalties.  Why get involved in running dope when you can make just as much stealing luxury cars for export to Russia?  Would make no business sense at all.   Mobsters are, at their heart, businessmen.  They are criminal businessmen, but businessmen nonetheless.  So: word to the wise:  don't screw around with their rackets, your life is not interesting nor valuable.

I disagree with Jan. The CIA or FBI are not a bunch of Saudi hitters taking out a journalist. There are many, many more ways to hit a guy and make it look like an accident, or just another unsolved murder in Minneapolis, than to bring in multiple law enforcement officers, EMT’s and bystanders with cameras.

Furthermore, you would want it as distanced from counterfeit cash as possible.

Lastly, the CIA/FBI would have know about the connection between the victim and the officer....there is no way they would have involved the officer in the hit.

Common sense tells you that if you are going to organize a hit with no blowback, the hitter should be unknown to any party, including those arranging the hit. Cut outs would be utilized.

@Douglas Buckland, the timeline does not allow for anything so organized.  This happened within minutes.  Floyd gets caught red-handed passing Company money.  He has been picked up.  He is in custody and headed for jail. The Secret Service will arrive at the jail and take him into their custody.  Then the grilling starts, and George being a weakling, is going to crumble under the pressure  and spill the beans. Chauvin hears it on the radio, phones his bosses in the mob, is told to "deal with it," and the rest opportunistically unfolds.  It was a messy enough hit, but still a hit.  It is obvious to me that Floyd was becoming a liability, probably had a number of other incidents that were upsetting the mobsters, this was the final straw.

Those CIA guys were running a little extra-income retirement scheme, picking up cash to augment their pay grade.  Nothing new about that.  All kinds of income schemes have gone down over the yeas, even some big ones such as running guns to the Contras. Let's get real here; you are a field agent, you get paid what? $60,000?  And for that you stick your neck out?  When you can add another $250,000 in a strip-club mondy-laundering racket?  You run that with a couple of other guys and you get to pad your retirement nicely.  That big RV is going to set you back $800,000 and where is the coin goijng to come from?   Meanwhile those FBI brickyard guys say nothing, this club gets them inside into whatever they are surveillancing, advances their careers with little effort.  Not as if the players don't know what the others are up to.

Chauvin has this whole series of Civilian Complaints against him, he is untouched.  Now, that is unusual.  Well, if he is "protected," then it becomes clear why he is not on the carpet.  Chauvin is useful to the mob, and the racketeers, so he can be an Enforcer and nobody is going to lean on him for his methods.  I remain cynical about how this strip club really functioned.  Classic mob operation.

Are you saying that he was killed in order for him not to talk and reveal where he got the counterfit money from?  This would bring out to the forefront not only the problem of racist hateful murderous cops but also of corrupt dirty murderous cops too.

You are painting an awful lot of good agents with your brush.

All agents make the same money in grade, how many supplement their income with criminal activities?

IF...this was a hit, it has to be one of the stupidest, most un-thought through hits in history!

Not really.  Probably only one or two in this op.

Likely very few.  But let's face it: easy money tempts people.  Look at the police in Mexico, where "La mordida" is institutionalized.

That is self-evident.  Nobody is maintaining that you need a Mensa membership to do a hit for the mob. Chauvin is incompetent, and his buddy Floyd is really dumb, he actually thought he could go passing those counterfeits next door to the Club.  Now, that is about as dumb as it gets. talk about bringing the Heat to your front door!

He was hit because he was a liability.  For mobsters, that is strictly business.  Nothing "racial" about it.  Liabilities cannot be allowed to go spill the beans to the Secret Service.  Jail times for counterfeiting in the USA are totally draconian, nobody wants to do 30 years because George cannot keep himself under control.  Rough facts of life in the Underworld.  Mobsters are like that.

Compilation of info / theory that suggests George Floyd was a hit job to protect a money laundering operation (FBI?) at El Nuevo Rodeo.

- Owned by Omar Investments (Muna Sabri).

- Relative Basim Sabri busted by FBI on 3 bribery counts in 2001.

- 9/11/01 - Intel agencies scramble to monitor for domestic threats.

- Creates asset point for US security to embed in Minneapolis to monitor Somalis.

- El Nuevo Rodeo (restuarant/club) possibly involved in money laundering.

- Derek Chauvin & George Floyd work together at club, Chauvin for 17 years, right after Sabri is busted by FBI.

- Fast forward 2020.  Wuhan virus shuts down all restaurants/clubs in Minneapolis.

- By default, shuts down illegal activity by legit operation.

- Resulting in any activity in laundering/counterfeit op deposits by club booker would be suspicious while business is closed.

- Resulting in George Floyd being out of work.  No work, no pay.

- Police called to Cup Foods where George Floyd reportedly passing fake $20.

- Chauvin responds to call and executes hit on Floyd for potentially putting El Nuevo Rodeo operation at risk.

- Floyd resists getting into car where he knew he would disappear.

- Chauvin kills Floyd in public, broad daylight, with multiple cameras capturing event.

- "EMT"s responding are Sheriff Dept, not medical, load body.

- No charges filed in 2006 Chauvin shooting incident.

- Possibly related, El Rodeo in Los Angeles is taken down as a drug-trafficking ring between US & Mex in 2015 by DEA

- Possible that El Rodeo NUEVO (New El Rodeo) takes over where ER LA left off for northern trade.

Anons have been digging into this.  Comments from elsewhere.  Not my words.  For your consideration:

=========================================

By now Ben is discovering that everything around El Nuevo Rodeo, the Mexican Cantina and Dance Club where George and Derek worked, is sketchy.

El Nuevo Rodeo (hereafter ENR) is a front business. Nothing is as it seems.

The background ownership of ENR takes you to a shady network of LLC’s and the name Omar Investments Inc. (est. 1996).  Dig a little deeper and something else becomes evident… The ownership might connect to one or more U.S. three letter agencies.

This is not surprising because Minneapolis Minnesota has more national security operations ongoing than any other community in the country.

Omar Investments Inc. owns El Nuevo Rodeo Cantina and night club since 1996.  The principle of Omar Investments Inc. is Muna Sabri. In 2001 a close relative, Basim Sabri, was captured by the FBI in a sting operation.

The presented “former club owner”, Maya Santamaria, seen on television, appears to be a purposeful ‘front’ (a face useful in deflecting attention from the primary owner and operations)

Derek Chauvin also worked at ENR for 17 years.  That timeline puts Derek Chauvin showing up to work security at El Neuvo Rodeo cantina and club right after the FBI busts Basim Sabri (everyone remembers what intel agencies were doing right after 9-11-01).

This was not some random street incident.    Arguably, every single person in/around law enforcement and EMT response that day knew each-other.

=================================

In short … the owner of the club where Floyd and Chauvin worked was owned by a Jordanian who aided and abetted terrorists ... and who the Feds would not allow DOJ to revoke his citizenship.

I personally do not.   Why should I?  The shooter killed his mom, then killed 27 little children.  Very blunt.

Further comment:  Adam Lanza, the shooter, was seriously mentally ill.  His father ws paid $1 million a year by General Electric to develop tax strategies, which he was skilled at.  The father in turn spent $250,000 a year on mental-health treatment and therapies for his desturbed son.  All that was undone by the totally stupid mom, who was divorced from dad, and who thought that buying Adam guns would be a good deal, very manly, and give the son self-esteem.   So much for productive mental therapy.

The son got up one morning, took a gun, and shot his mother dead in her bed.  then he went to the elementary school and shot it up.  This might sound bizarre, but remember that Adam "failed" the second grade.  How ridiculous does your behavior have to be to fail the second grade?  Have you ever met anyone who failed second grade?  Nobody fails second grade.

Adam harbored a long grudge for failing second grade, so the moment he got his gons free and could dispose of the meddling mom, he hopped into her car, went down to the school, and shot it up. As there is no guard, no security system, no armored doors, it was easy to go inside and kill.  He started with killing the principal, then worked his way through the school, killing as he went.  When the first policeman arrived, that man went inside and shot Adam.  Otherwise he predictably would not have stopped until he had killed every last person in the building.  That is what mentally ill people do.  And that is precisely why the mentally ill cannot be allowed to have access to guns. Ever.

Direct and to the point is a reality society has walked away for many years. Frankly that is point blank the very reasoning for Trumps presidency...We the US are far to PC. Direct hard truth will win this day..Great Post ....down the rabbit hole we go!

If the US has forgotten Obama and his policys cost the democratic party over 1000 seats of power....One can be assured when the race becomes officail and witless old man that was second in charge to those policys is back in the running again.

My views on gun ownership and "gun control" are perfectly straight-forward.  I start from the observation, and thus the premise, that the vast, overwhelming majority of American gun owners  (not counting the criminal class, of course) are totally responsible, reliable folks.  They are not "the problem."  The problems are with the criminal underclass and the mentally disturbed.  So: how to cut way down on the flood of guns into the hands of the mentally ill?   And the answer is to require gun owners to keep their guns inside a great big heavy safe with a combination lock on it, something that would require an oxyacetylene torch to open.

Such safes will likely set you back around $3,000.   But: let's remember, society has all kinds of subsidies for desireable goods and ends.  You have the mortgage interest tax deduction; you have sales tax credits; you have accelerated depreciation of industrial goods; you have Pell Grants for college education, and so forth.  What is so wrong about a subsidy or tax credit to enable the purchase of a heavy gun safe?

Keeping guns out of the hands of criminals is a different proposition.  I am not clear on how you would approch that.  Yet: how many street criminals are out there shooting up schools?  Answer: none.  The mass shootings are all being done by the mentally ill. Lots of those are taking guns from others, which are left lying around, unsecured.  Securing guns in big safes is a logical place to start.
