Twitter bans Kaspersky from advertising

Twitter has banned Moscow-based security company Kaspersky Lab from advertising on its platform due to the company’s alleged ties to Russian intelligence organizations. Twitter cited a Homeland Security notice that warned that the U.S. government was concerned about ties between “certain Kaspersky officials and Russian intelligence and other government agencies.” Kaspersky is still permitted to have Twitter accounts and post organically on the on the platform.

Kaspersky spent more than $94,000 on advertising on Twitter in 2017?  i would ban them as well for being cheap

Lawmakers and U.S. intelligence have also targeted Kaspersky Lab, alleging it is a tool for the Russian government. Last year WH banned the use of Kaspersky Lab products by the federal government.

The neo McCarthyist hysteria that has gripped this country is just insane. Russian intelligence isn’t interested in your Twitter posts.I still use Kaspersky’s malware and intrusion detection software.
