I would not be so convinced that Andrew Cuomo is going to be the knight on the great white horse to save the day for the Democrats.  His background is not exactly stellar.  He came out of law school and worked as an assistant prosecutor, a job that I find to be a dubious proposition for the claim it is preparatory for the Presidency.  His big claim to fame is that he is Mario Cuomo's son.  Big deal.  The Cuomo's are machine politicians, their only ability to prevail in elections is that the Democrat machine controls New York City and its 13 million population. they pick up some more votes in Buffalo and Rochester, but once you are out in the countryside of upstate NY the Democrats die, that is solidly Republican, and no Dem has made inroads there except for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who is very smart, brings a lot to the table, and makes certain not to offend the rural voters with the craziness that infects the Democratic party agenda. 

If you want to replace Mr. Biden with a Democrat from New York, I would suggest Kirsten Gillibrand long before I would suggest Mr. Cuomo.

Previously I promoted Cuomo.  You are all correct.  

CUOMO IS CORRUPT.

It looks like the Hospital Associations and more so the Nursing Home Association have been filling Cuomo's campaign coffers for years.  The second largest contributors after the Real Estate industry.  

He conveniently snuck an immunity clause in this year's budget protecting the Nursing homes from any liability .  How convenient.  

Some have stated Cuomo's office wrote and signed the regulation that elderly Covid19 patients be directed to Nursing Homes instead of hospitals as a payoff for campaign contributions increasing their revenue and profits substantially. All this while leaving the hospital units supplied by Trump empty. This caused over 6500 deaths elderly family members. 

Over 25% of NY State deaths were in nursing homes. (6500 +)

The Nursing Homes put the infected patients right in with the current non infected residents, did not provide proper PPE, and failed to even inform family of the state of their loved ones health.  

The Real Estate campaign contributors are worse.

Cuomo's 18 largest contributors are Real Estate developers of which Cuomo passed and renewed  huge tax breaks or  awarded lucrative state contracts.

No go with Cuomo.

I've often wondered what the legal ramifications of having Obama be the vice president are? My understanding is he can't run again, but what if he inherited the office? That would be positively macevellian. The democrats aren't that smart, but they can hire smart, amoral lawyers.

Let me point out that Nancy Pelosi is over 80 years old. Sanders and Biden are almost 80 years old and the youngest in this company Trump is over 70 years old.

I do not want to sound arrogant as relatively young person but the age of 80 is a time for a beautiful, peaceful and prosperous retirement, but not necessarily for taking power over the superpower with many serious problems to solve.

Especially in the case of the Democratic Party, it is probably the highest time for younger leaders.

I really thought that since Biden did not run in the 2016 election, his path to the presidency is closed.

I do not mean to promote youth by force, but the ordinary laws of the human species cant  be overcomed and a man aged 80 is not as fit as even when he was 60.

I think this is a real fluke and the country will never see it again. Reagan was the oldest President at 77 when he left. Biden is decrepit mentally, lacking in mental acuity and verbal skill. His base would vote for any liberal. His detractors think he is a joke. Trump is very energetic and mentally sharp. He is a rousing speaker to his base but agitates his detractors so much that a new term was made for it Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Putin is in trouble with the Russian people. He cannot meet their expectations due to overdependency on oil and gas income. Russia is one of the most dependent on prices and has no renewables worth mentioning excepting hydro. Still he wants to be leader for life.

I do beg to ask you however to demonstrate what youth brings to the table?

A bit of reference for you,do not believe this generation is the first generation to have such thoughtful aspirations. I can assure such thoughts have occurred since the dawn of mankind.

Now as to a bold fresh new future what does youth bring to the table...what is obvious is unbound energy with little or no direction.

Much is to be said about socialism in this youth movement yet at the same time since the dawn of mankind it has failed as a construct of governance.

I have yet to see anything of merit or results in such a endeavor,aside from Obama's attempt to socialize the US..

To that point one only needs to look across this country and see a badly torn and fragmented society..
