Boeing To Lose $20 Billion In Contracts Because Of Trump Sanctions On Iran

The aircraft sales were among the most sought-after contracts for Iran. Boeing will reportedly lose billions of dollars in deals with Iranian airline companies after President Trump announced that the U.S. will be withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal. Boeing is losing a $17 billion contract to deliver 80 aircraft to Iran Air, which deliveries were expected to be completed by 2025.

Boeing is just the part of this story. Trump will undoubtedly make sure that French Airbus will not be able to deliver planes to Iran as well. This company will lose $19 billion. It is also subject to US export restriction because more than 10% of its jet parts originate with US companies.
