Oxford: China may not be source of Covid

Dr Tom Jefferson, senior associate tutor at the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine at Oxford University, and visiting professor at Britain's Newcastle University, says there is growing evidence the virus was elsewhere before it emerged in Asia.

So traces of the virus, or its fingerprint, was found in waste-water in Italy 9 months before the pandemic.  And, how do you suppose it got to Italy? Given the rapid transfer of the live, active virus from China to Italy in December 2019, it would be logical to infer that the original traces also emanated from China, following various workers to the leather-good factories in Milan.   The idea that there is or was always an indigenous strand of the virus just lying about in Italy for decades is just not credible.  the Italians do not eat bats.
