When too many or nearly all parties benefit from a lie the truth could not survive.

Noviczok poisonings have too many parties benefiting from current narrative:

- Russian politicians with Putin himself cause it is easier for dictatorship to have strong external threat, Putin is just happy

- US politicians , most of them : this is safe old anti-Russia narrative, very safe cause again external culprit is a bad actor that destroys American world , Americans stay exceptional,

- Chinese just pop champagnes , too good to be true,

- Germany-Russia relations are close to Romeo and Juliet syndrome with US in a role of crazy parents.

- EU politicians have a good topic to talk about, again  very safe anti-Russia narrative

- The rest of the world do not care provided that spice ( Russian hydrocarbons) flows.

The major victim is Russian society cause they lose, but nobody cares.

I think if we did not have this poisonings in the first place they should be made up. 
And last but not least a very good story for lazy journalists . The other 0.5% of them are not happy but again who cares.

What’s going on regarding Alexey Navalny repeats the great 2018 poisoning by novichok of the Skripals in Britain hoax.

Whatever caused their illness, from which they recovered, had nothing to do with exposure to a deadly nerve agent, Russia falsely blamed for what it had nothing to do with.

What’s essential to explain, establishment media suppress time and again.

Whenever something like a Navalny incident occurs, they’re quick to blame Russia or other nations targeted by the US for regime change.

Whatever happened to Alexey Navalny wasn’t from exposure to a novichok nerve agent able to kill in minutes.

He’s very much alive and able to communicate three weeks after falling ill aboard a flight from Tomsk, Russia to Moscow.

Russia’s UN envoy Vassily Nebenzia explained what’s obvious, saying:

“This whole incident cannot but raise questions about some foul play being staged.”

Key is who benefits and who’s harmed. Russia clearly gained nothing from the Navalny incident.

Potentially it has much to loose. Nothing remotely connects the Kremlin to what happened to him.

On Friday, German BND Federal Intelligence Service head Bruno Kahl said a “secret meeting” was held on what he called a “harder” form of novichok the country’s military lab claims poisoned Navalny with no further elaboration, Der Spiegel reported, adding:

A delegation from the (pro-Western imperial tool) OPCW visited Navalny in Berlin’s Charite Hospital where he’s being treated.

In response to Reuters’ request for more information, a BND statement said the following:

“The Federal Intelligence Service will comment on any findings exclusively to the federal government and the responsible committees of the German Bundestag that meet in secret.”

In its latest edition, Der Spiegel reported the following:

“Leading politicians in Germany from all mainstream parties are demanding that construction on the natural gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 be suspended as a result of the poisoning of Alexey Navalny.” 

“Merkel’s government is so far resisting such calls,” adding:

It’s “clear that Germany’s relationship with Russia will change significantly.”

It’s “likely that the Kremlin was behind the poisoning (sic). And Russian President Vladimir Putin (sic).”

“(A) debate has erupted over which sanctions the German government should now consider applying.”

“The only penalty that would primarily hurt Moscow would be a construction stop on the almost completed Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline.”

Some members of “Merkel’s governing coalition…are increasingly demanding that the pipeline project be abandoned.”

“Within the government, however, that step remains off limits. Officially at least.”

Merkel supports its completion. At the same time, she seeks an EU response to what happened to Navalny.

Abandoning the project in favor of 30% more expensive US LNG will be economically harmful to Germany, what cool heads in the country and Merkel understand.

On Thursday, an EU Political and Security Committee meeting was held in Brussels, the Navalny issue discussed.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the bloc is considering “restrictive measures” against Russia.

At the same time, his spokesman said as long as there’s uncertainty over who may be responsible for Navalny’s condition, discussing punitive measures is premature.

Without verifiable evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that does not exist, blaming Russia for what happened has no credibility.

EU officials in Berlin and Brussels admitted that numerous nations in Europe and elsewhere have access to novichok and other deadly toxins.

Despite nothing connecting Russia to Navalny’s condition, Pompeo blamed the Kremlin, saying the following:

“I think people all around the world will see this kind of activity for what it is (sic),” adding:

“And when they see the effort to poison a dissident, they recognize that there is a substantial chance that this actually came from Russia (sic).”

He declined to say how the Trump regime will respond.

DJT stressed that “(w)e haven’t had any proof yet but I will take a look.”

Russia’s Foreign Ministry slammed what it called “unfounded accusations and ultimatums,” accusing Berlin of using Navalny’s condition “as a pretext to discredit our country” unjustifiably.

In its latest edition, Germany’s DW news said “Berlin’s Justice Ministry on Friday approved a request from Moscow for legal assistance in the investigation of the suspected poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny,” adding:

“Germany has tasked state prosecutors with working with Russian authorities.”

On the same day, Russian police said they asked permission from Germany authorities to question Navalny, a request virtually certain to be denied.

Russia’s Interior Ministry said it wants to send a team to work with German investigators on the Navalny case to ask “clarifying and additional questions,” adding:

It requested the presence of its team to “carry out investigative activities with Navalny, medics and (German) experts.”

On Friday, Berlin said it hadn’t received a request so far, DW adding:

“The public prosecutor’s office in Berlin said it had been instructed by state authorities in the German capital to provide legal assistance and information on Navalny’s health to Moscow.”

He “must however agree to this, the prosecutor said in a tweet.”

Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow rejects false accusations and threats regarding what happened to Navalny, adding:

No evidence to open a criminal case exists.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet lost credibility by supporting US-led Western war on Venezuela’s social democracy.

Earlier she defied reality by falsely accusing President Nicolas Maduro of “profoundly erod(ing)” the rule of law, including “human rights violations…abuses and crimes (sic).”

She’s at it again, saying through her spokesman without evidence the following on Navalny:

“There was a very serious crime committed on Russian soil (sic).” 

“There appears to to be no doubt this exotic and highly deadly substance — novichok — was used (sic).” 

“(I)t’s incumbent on the Russian authorities to investigate a crime of this severity that took place on their own territory (sic).”

No evidence of a crime against Navalny exists.

Thus, there’s no reason to conduct a criminal investigation.

As long as German authorities refuse to provide Russia with evidence of a crime it claims was committed against Navalny, the accusation is baseless.

No legitimate tribunal would pronounce guilt in a criminal case  without proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

In the case of what happened to Navalny, nothing suggests Russian responsibility for his illness.

Claiming otherwise is part of longstanding unjustifiable US-led Western/establishment media supported Russia bashing.

6. Deny the pipeline a final compliance green-light

Even if no additional action by Germany or the EU is taken, Nord Stream 2 still faces many challenges to obtain a license to operate.

Should it succeed in completing construction, it then needs to find a company willing to brave U.S. sanctions by doing the final inspection. Gazprom also has to comply with the EU's second amended Gas Directive and disentangle its gas-selling operations from the running of the pipeline — something that will be judged by Germany's energy regulator.

The European Commission has already warned Gazprom that any moves deemed to be technical workarounds — such as transferring the ownership of the pipeline to a Gazprom subsidiary — won't be accepted.

After all these weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, moderate fighters in Syria, the chemical attack in Douma, the alleged murder of Babchenko in Kiev that resurected on the next day, I advise you not to be surprised that since no evidence has been presented in the cases of Skripal and Navalny, there are very serious doubts the more that the case of Navalny begins to fall apart because the Germans, like the British, do not present any evidence to support accusations

Simply nowadays there are not so many naive people who believe in the truth of any government's assurances simply because its highly likely as Theresa May once said..

And I don't mean that it certainly wasn't the case because I simply don't know. Only to be honest, the credibility of Western special services and governments is at least especially not so high for me to take their word for it.

Especially that in a situation in which Navalny seems not to have suffered dramatically , for a change, Russia goes to the attack and demands the full evidence of poisoning firmly.

If they were really guilty, I would simply sweep the matter under the rug as inconvenient for all parties.

By the way if someone thinks that such a development of the situation in the era of the new Cold War, even less with Russia and more with China, is a success for the West, and I congratulate him on optimism.

For example, I see photos of the Chinese exterminating the Uighurs. Only I can see also  the comments that this is fake news and anti-chinese propaganda. And I see a lot of such comments and to be honest I am not surprised at all.

Perhaps people are slowly forgetting about the WMD in Iraq. But unfortunately then there was also Syria where the West generally compromised itself to support Islamic fighters against a legitimate government whatever it was.

Good post Tomasz.  In my opinion, there is very little that I can trust on any mainstream news outlet.  Here is an example of a past propaganda campaign which resulted in the death of more than one million people.

"Nurse Nayirah" in the media, was a fifteen-year-old Kuwaiti girl, who alleged that she had witnessed the murder of infant children by Iraqi soldiers in Kuwait, in verbal testimony to the U.S. Congress, in the run up to the 1991 Gulf War. Her testimony, which was regarded as credible at the time, has since come to be regarded as wartime propaganda. The public relations firm Hill & Knowlton, which was in the employ of Citizens for a Free Kuwait, had arranged the testimony. Nayirah's testimony was widely publicized. Hill & Knowlton, which had filmed the hearing, sent out a video news release to Medialink, a firm which served about 700 television stations in the United States.

That night, portions of the testimony aired on ABC's Nightline and NBC Nightly News reaching an estimated audience between 35 and 53 million Americans. Seven senators cited Nayirah's testimony in their speeches backing the use of force. President George Bush repeated the story at least ten times in the following weeks.

It should be noted that Hill & Knowlton have recently been involved in propaganda regarding the Pandemic.

Personally, it seems to me clearly that at least a dozen Navalny would have to be poisoned or Angela Merkel herself would have to be poisoned so that the Germans as society would give up this project. It is true that the author of the study is the German-Russian Trade Group, but the results of the survey are rather unambiguous.

If Europe ever withdraws from this project, it will only be under the dictatorship of the Americans and not that some oppositionist has been poisoned.

This could be, at best, a formal pretext and, from this poll, rather a pretext that would only convince German society to a very small extent.

in general, the USA has such a big problem that the German society has been more sympathetic to cooperation with Russia for a long time, and America, especially Trump's America, is not popular there. And if the Americans block Nord Stream II, their ratings are unlikely to improve. 

History will not change - Russians and Germans have either worked closely together for centuries or have waged wars. But for them to be indifferent to each other for long time it was probably not common  in history.

As part of this centuries-long cooperation, it is the USA that is a new element only somewhere after the end of World War II.

Moreover, tsarist Russia was very often ruled by ethnic Germans from the Baltic states, less often from German states.

One such curiosity is that the Germans from the former Eastern Bloc are even better inclined to cooperate with Russia than Western Germany. Honestly, it puzzles me because in Poland there is clearly visible anti-Russianness and in East Germany opposite pro-Russianness, although they have less experience with tsarist Russia than Poles.

Anyway, Poles want to set an example and tell the Germans to give up Nord Stream. But Poland itself is such an anti-Russian champion of abandoning Russian gas but at the same time, which probably few people in the west know know, just as Germany is like a drug addict dependent on Russian gas, so Poland has been dependent on cheap Russian coal for several years - the situation is that Poland limits its own production and imports several million tons of coal from Russia annually, the more it is longer  ruled by the Russophobic Law and Justice party.

The United States actively opposes the project, promoting its liquefied natural gas in the EU. The United States imposed sanctions against Nord Stream 2 in December, demanding companies to immediately stop laying the pipeline. The Swiss Allseas then almost immediately announced the suspension of such work. Now the US is discussing the expansion of sanctions against the project.

The US is trying in every possible way to prevent the completion of Nord Stream 2. Washington, in particular, has proposed tough new sanctions against the Russian gas pipeline, which are already included in the bill on the US defense budget for 2021. In addition, the world community calls on the Russian Federation to be punished for the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny , by blocking in any way the further implementation of the project. On September 24 and 25, the heads of the EU countries plan to discuss in Brussels the possibility of introducing restrictive measures against Nord Stream 2.

At the moment, Germany, the largest gas market in Europe, does not have a single LNG receiving terminal, and the country receives gas from the world LNG market indirectly through Belgium and Holland. The terminal in Wilhelmshaven with a capacity of up to 10 billion cubic meters per year is going to be built by Uniper, which has already ordered a corresponding vessel for receiving and regasification of liquefied gas (FSRU) from Japanese Mitsui. Commissioning is expected in the second half of 2022. The operator of the terminal in Brunsbüttel is the Gasunie, Vopak and Marquard & Bahls JV, its capacity is expected to be 3-5 billion cubic meters per year, commissioning is also tentatively scheduled for 2022. Most of the Brunsbüttel terminal capacity has already been contracted by RWE.

State subsidies for the construction of receiving terminals will reduce the rates for storage and regasification of LNG, which now in Europe can average $ 0.4-0.5 per MBTU ($ 15-18 per 1,000 cubic meters).

This amount is added to the contract price of LNG when it is delivered inland, and accordingly, the reduction of these rates will increase the competitiveness of LNG in the German market compared to pipeline gas from Russia and Norway.

 

I think US administration should consider this option . If its true german gas demand may increase a lot thanks to Energwendie maybe its good offer for both sides.

I once wrote that it seems to me that in the second half of the decade, when the balance on the gas market will even out, as announced by the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, the world market will finally reconcile gas from pipelines and LNG. As far as I remember, the British are announcing that in 2025 there will be a balance of supply and demand on the market, and the price of Gazprom's LNG and gas will fluctuate around $ 7-8 per MBT, with gas from Gazprom still being a bit cheaper, although prices in May by 2025, more even when the prices of Gazprom with the increase in oil prices to $ 70 will just rise somewhere to the level of $ 7-7.5 per mbbt ($ 1 per mbbt is $ 36.9 per 1,000 m3 of gas).

Germany gas demand most likely goes up + Europe local gas production goes down.

 

If I am not mistaken, Shell been talking about 2021-2022 global gas market to balance. However, it might happen sooner - US gas production already going down and less shale oil production means less associated gas. Moreover, there is a lot uncertainty about Us election - might be new green policy introduced (means less gas again). Plus low gas prices globally pushed for faster transition coal-to-gas energy generation. So we will see....global gas market it a is complex dynamic system with many unknown components. 2025 is too far away

Don't roll your short to Nov.  Oct NG futures contract is a shoulder month with waning A/C demand.  LNG exports have not fully recovered from the hurricane season (Cameron still without power).  But supply is off 6Bcf/d year over year.  When LNG gets back up toward 10Bcf/d, the first cold snap will make traders understand that supply is not coming back and we could be short.  Nov NG futures are 55 cents higher than Oct.  Dec and Jan are $1.10 & $1.20 higher.  Summer 21 is trading $2.80.  NG will be strong for the next year or two relative to recent pricing,

I devoted my previous article to the analysis of this statement:

This group includes the following biologically active substances that are close in chemical structure:

1. Alzheimer's Disease Medicines
2. Insecticides for insect control (thiophos, metaphos)
3. Antidote for alcohol and fly agaric poisoning

This article shows that thiophos and metaphos are very different in structure from Novice and other OPA (which are also cholinesterase inhibitors, which is the reason for their nerve-paralytic effect). The thiophos formula is given in the above article, the formulas of the well-known FOV - in my article:

At the same time, they could not have poisoned Navalny with thiophos, because:

1. Thiophos or metaphos are slightly soluble in water, but when dissolved, they hydrolyze to form p-nitrophenol and diethyl (methyl) thiophosphoric acid (in an alkaline medium - their salts), which do not pose a particular danger.
2. Thiophos and metaphos have a rather strong unpleasant (garlic) odor.

Therefore, I put forward the assumption that Navalny found drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease or an antidote used for alcohol and fly agaric poisoning (i.e. also a drug), the structures of which are similar to the structure of thiophos (parathion).

And if the Germans said that Navalny had drug poisoning, possibly with an attack of a disease like diabetes, it would be logical. But instead, the Germans said they had found the Novichok ...

• The "newcomers" quickly decompose with water, which contradicts the initially disseminated statement that Navalny's poison was allegedly put in tea.

The functional group P ‑ F is responsible for the high biological activity of the Novice. "Novices" are fluoroanhydrides of phosphoric or methylphosphonic acid derivatives (phosphates or methylphosphonates).

All these fluoroanhydrides (like any acid fluorides in general) quickly, although not immediately, decompose by water to the corresponding acids (hydrolysis reaction). Moreover, when heated, the reaction rate increases markedly. These acids do not have the nerve effect that the P ‑ F group is responsible for. Therefore, "Novices" (and other FOVs) do not put in drinks or food (where there is usually also a lot of water) - they will decompose, especially if the drink or food is hot.

I understand that journalists and politicians simply do not know about the decomposition of Novichkov with water, and I am even ready to agree that this is not required of them.

But if someone really ordered someone to poison Navalny with Novichok, then these persons (organizers and / or executors) had to know this fact, which is obvious to specialists, so they could not put Novichok in tea.

By the way, those who used "Novichok" against the Skripals knew this, and applied it to the door handles. Apparently, there it partially decomposed in the humid atmosphere of spring England within a few hours after application. In a similar way, when the banker Kivelidi was poisoned in 1995, "Novichok" was applied to a landline telephone.

Indeed, during the poisoning of the Skripals by Novichok, a policeman was injured, in addition to two of them, in Amesbury one person died and one was poisoned, when Kivelidi was poisoned, two more died, and several people were injured. And here, no one has any signs of poisoning. Wonders…

In general, the Germans clearly do not make ends meet.

And I suppose we won't see Navalny again in Russia, regardless of who poisoned him and with what, and whether he was poisoned at all. They will hide it in the West, as they hide the Skripals.

Navalny  - For me personally, all this is playing like another False Flag event in order to demonize Russia.  There are so many fibers to this scenario that get lost in the confusion.  Just like the Anthrax attacks which came a month following 9/11/01.  Initially, they were blamed on Iraq.  Eventually, the hard evidence shows that the Anthrax came from a Maryland U.S. Bio-Lab...and even then, the U.S. picked a fall guy (or two, because the first didn't fly.)  Being Suicided is a nice way to end the trail of evidence.  I figure that they will play this false flag card as long as they can to stall the pipeline and to prevent Russia from becoming a long term player in Natural Gas to the West.

The Levada pollster has finally tried to establish the real level of support for Navalny in Russia so I hope we can stop discussing the immaterial "3% would vote him for in a presidential election held this Sunday" In short - 20% approve of him, 50% don't.

This is the approval rate of his anti-corruption activity. Which absolutely does not equal his approval in politics or in the presidential election.

The opposition leader in Russia is Zyuganov, whether you like it or not.

Kremlin Alleges Navalny Is "Working With CIA" After Bombshell Charge: 'Putin Poisoned Me!'

The controversy and mystery surrounding the alleged poisoning of Russian activist and opposition figure Alexey Navalny just escalated dramatically upon the first published full media interview with Navalny, who after recovering in a German hospital was recently released. The bombshell interview with German newsmagazine Der Spiegel hit the web Thursday. Navalny alleged directly that Putin was behind the poisoning, saying he had “no other explanation for what happened." 

“Putin is behind the crime,” Navalny said in the newly published interview. “I have no other versions of the crime. I am not saying this to flatter myself, but on the basis of facts.” And for the first time he described harrowing details aboard the Russian flight where he fell unconscious:

“I leave the toilet, turn to the steward - and instead of asking for help, I say, to my own surprise: 'I've been poisoned. I'm dying.' And then I lay down on the ground in front of him to die.”

Navalny has only recently fully recovered and left the hospital. Much of the interview was focused on Germany's intervention in the saga, which began with an emergency medical transport flight across Russian borders and all the way to Berlin, where he was later even visited by Chancellor Angela Merkel. 

“They were waiting for me to die,” Navalny said of the Russians who he says poisoned him. “The Russian leadership has developed such an inclination to poison that it will not stop so soon,” he said. “My medical history will yet become instructive.”

This after German officials last month alleged the poison was from the 'Novichok' family — a Cold War era military grade nerve-agent which was developed only by the Soviet Union, which critics of the story say is bizarre given how "obvious" Russian fingerprints behind such an "assassination attempt" would be.

Navalny tells Der Spiegel: "I assert that Putin was behind the crime."

And there's also the fact that prior to the alleged poisoning of a 'popular opposition leader' the reality is that a huge chunk of the Russian population may have never heard of him:

The 'western' media jumped onto the 'Navalny was poisoned' claim to heap the usual trash on Russia. They also claimed that Navalny is the 'opposition leader' in Russia even as he polls at 2% which is lower than the leader of the communist party and several other real opposition politicians.

Der Spiegel acknowledges at one point in the interview that prior to the poisoning incident, he was largely unknown to Europe or the rest of the world:

The Kremlin has an explanation, apparently. Within hours after Navalny pointing the finger directly at President Putin, the Russian president's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this was all "probably" a CIA operation. 

The official Russian response is now being widely reported via state media sources:

Western intelligence agencies – in particular, agents from the American CIA – are working with Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny, Vladimir Putin’s spokesman alleged on Thursday.

"Probably, it is not the patient [Navalny] who works for the Western special services, but that the Western intelligence services who work with him – this would be more correct [to say]," Dmitry Peskov explained.  “I can even be specific: these days, specialists from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States of America are working with him.”

"This isn't the first time he's been given different instructions," the spokesman continued. "The instructions given to the patient are obvious. We have seen such patterns of behavior on more than one occasion."

This bombshell accusation against Navalny also comes after Russia has been persistent in demanding further, independently obtained evidence from Germany. It appears the statement also referenced the "pattern" of accusations which surrounded the Skripal case in the UK.

Also on the question of Navalny being an "exile" from Russia, Peskov emphasized he can return to his homeland at any time.

"Any citizen of Russia can return to his homeland at any time," the Kremlin spokesman said. "Treatment can take place in our country, in fact, almost all people avail of this. Lives are saved in our country, and the life of this patient was also saved in Russia."
