The sheer genius of it all!  Re-package 7,000 +/- AA rechargeable batteries and put them all together!  Breathtaking!

The sad but true fact of the matter is this: current and foreseeable battery technology just isn't there yet.  You can put lipstick on a pig......

Doesnt change the fact that the Canadian government needs 5c / km of tax! So charge at 18c kwh plus 5c kwh delivery (or in kalifornistan) . 75 kwh x23c kwh =17.25 + (500km x .05c/km road tax)=....42.25. Per tank I mean err pack. Doesnt seem super cheap for a small model 3 . Even if it isnt over priced by 20k$. Child #3 due in Nov does tesla have a van available.... need 1 rear facing and 2 forward facing child seats in the vehicle .

I think they're using a modified process from whats described in Pop Mec. for that new silicon anode. By what was said they're using pure silicon with no carbon in the mix.

They can take the lithium out of the soil and replace the soil. They can use silicon and somehow fracture it and coat it so that it will not disintegrate as it is used. Very simply stated.

Natural gas is what has replaced coal in America with a little help from renewables. Thank you.

Yeah, that pop mec. article describes a simple process to make/coat anode's out of silicon instead of using graphite.

no pattern, the US numbers peaked in 2014 and plateaued yet US Renwables continued to climb exponentially.

I was comparing Ontario electricity price and USA solar power production. Ontario graph looks similar with low coal and renewables displacing the coal.  Not surprisingly California has the most renewables and highest power price.
