"Fact: the RSS global mean temperature anomaly dataset shows a least-squares linear regression trend of 0.0C from February 1997 to October 2015. But what does this really mean? And what is the significance of this global warming pause? Join me in today's Thought For The Day as we explore this question."

"Karl Popper famously said, “A theory that explains everything explains nothing.” So what do you make of the theory that catastrophic manmade CO2-driven “climate change” can account for harsher winters and lighter winters, more snow and less snow, droughts and floods, more hurricanes and less hurricanes, more rain and less rain, more malaria and less malaria, saltier seas and less salty seas, Antarctica ice melting and Antarctic ice gaining and dozens of other contradictions? Popper gave a name to “theories” like this: pseudoscience."

Note: A lower quality version of this video was first published to The Corbett Report on November 25, 2009. A higher quality version of the video was recorded for the 2009 Video Archive DVD and is being made available online for the first time in preparation for the run-up to the COP21 Climate Conference starting November 30 in Paris.

Sadly, we now know how the Climategate scandal referred to in this video was addressed: by sweeping the true nature of its revelations under the rug with fraudulent investigation after fraudulent investigation after fraudulent investigation. As a global carbon treaty comes closer to reality, however, it is more important than ever to remind the well-meaning but severely misinformed environmental activists about how their cause has been hijacked so that the COP21 agenda can be derailed.

When Hubbert wrote his Technocracy Study Course, he made it clear that technocracy could not come to fruition without 24/7 surveillance of all energy usage and a continuous stream of data about all goods being produced by and consumed by society. But whereas in the 1930s such a system must have seemed like a delusional flight of fancy, today it is already being implemented...

Tom Nolan here:  More news of TECHNOCRACY rising with "The Great Reset", our New World Order.

IMF Calls for Credit Score to be Tied to Internet Search History

https://realitycircuit.com/2020/12/23/imf-calls-for-credit-score-to-be-tied-to-internet-search-history/?fbclid=IwAR1WKyVcEK4sPoqxRKumBBpQxw15FJwC4Drh13lVu4AWSh_VfIkG2DFXMb4

In a blog post courtesy of the International Monetary Fund, IMF researchers Arnoud Boot, Peter Hoffmann, Luc Laeven, and Lev Ratnovski called for internet search history to be tied to credit score.

Presenting their findings from a paper they wrote, the researchers argue that by using non-financial data, specifically “the history of online searches and purchases,” we can solve the problem of “certain kinds of people not having enough hard data (income, employment time, assets and debts) available.”

The authors of the piece claim that this move is a necessary innovation in order to compete with the rise of corporate cryptocurrencies such as the one in development by Facebook, who hope to launch next year. While Facebook is a monopoly that has engaged in political censorship, their power pales in comparison to that of the IMF . The International Monetary Fund is a veritable superpower with ties to the World Bank, and they oversee the entire global economy

It should go without saying that giving this organization the power to track everyone’s search history can lead to some dark ramifications. With private banks, notably JPMorgan and Chase Bank, already kicking conservatives off of their services, one can only imagine how much this would escalate with the IMF tracking everyone’s search history. While there has been bipartisan opposition to the Chinese Social Credit system in Congress, the distinctions between that system and what the IMF is pushing for remains ill-defined.

The IMF, including some of the writers of the blog post, have ties to both the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset Initiative and the Joe Biden Transition Team. Two of the researchers advocating for the IMF tracing our search history, Luc Laeven and Lev Ratnovski, have pages on the WEF’s website. Lev Ratnovski, in particular, has defended bank bailouts so the economy can stay afloat.

Meanwhile, the head of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, has publicly advocated for the Great Reset Initiative, notably in this speech to members of the Royal Family over the summer. The Great Reset Initiative is a plan by the World Economic Forum to, in their words, “build a new social contract that honors the dignity of every human being.” Here is one hypothetical scenario proposed by a WEF contributor for what life may look like after a Great Reset.

One slogan employed by the WEF and proponents of the Great Reset? “Build Back Better.”

The WEF has used that slogan as shorthand for “reinventing capitalism.” The slogan has also been used by Joe Biden, who Gorgieva’s associates say will help advance the IMF’s goals as President.

Joe Biden has also promised he will establish a task force to combat online extremism. Given Biden’s ties to groups such as the IMF and WEF, this could be cause for concern. A Democrat President and anti-conservative banking institutions using big tech to monitor people’s search history isn’t the most comforting idea, to say the least.

Tom Nolan here:  For those who are unaware, the rich, powerful elite have an international Davos event planned for this coming last week of January 2021 to discuss "The Great Reset".

Below is the SOURCE websites from the World Economic Forum.  (The sames folks who along with Bill Gates ran EVENT 201 on October 18th of 2019 which simulated a novel coronavirus infecting the world, shutting down economies and censoring the internet.  If you do not know about EVENT 201, you are completely in the dark.  Go back on this THREAD to find information.  The powerful elite had the COVID pandemic mapped out with how to shut down the world and how to censor people prior to 2020 with EVENT 201.  Watch their video of EVENT 201.  They are not hiding what their intention is.)

Also, note their phrase " The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. ".  This is part of the definition of FASCISM.

25—29 January 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated that no institution or individual alone can address the economic, environmental, social and technological challenges of our complex, interdependent world. The pandemic has accelerated systemic changes that were apparent before its inception. The fault lines that emerged in 2020 now appear as critical crossroads in 2021. The time to rebuild trust and to make crucial choices is fast approaching as the need to reset priorities and the urgency to reform systems grow stronger around the world.

The Davos Agenda is a pioneering mobilization of global leaders to shape the principles, policies and partnerships needed in this challenging new context. It is essential for leaders from all walks of life to work together virtually for a more inclusive, cohesive and sustainable future as soon as possible in 2021.

The notion of an infinitely growing population is nonsense. On a consumption weighted basis the global population is shrinking now that China has turned over. .OECD+China are in an inverted demography. They can consume more per capita as their need for investment is largely for new tech and products as extensive growth is well behind them. Thus each new generation requires no new schools, no new university classrooms or dorms, no new office space, no new housing other than replacement. The number of first car purchases is dropping every year in aggregate.

The emerging economies might have a chance for improvement, but those that remain in the emergent camp are there because they are impossible to develop profitably with technology available heretofore. Hopefully modern Solar and Wind will help. But the amount of infrastructure investment necessary is not at all economically justified  in most cases even with negative real interest rates.

The current projections from the authors of empty planet don't get to 8 Tril humans ever.

There is no need for population reduction to achieve any goal. Fighting for survival is a noble goal, Gates and co.suggestions of culling humanity are deranged musings of eugenicists. Even if solutions are not found, you don't  kill people off preemptively.

I think you'll just see emerging countries hopping over unneeded "gaps" in technology. You don't need to build things like a copper telephone and ma'bell-like switching infastructure when it's just cheaper to build 5g and optical fiber between dense pockets in communications-consumption locations in an otherwise sparse world, made possible probably due to how quickly the world seems to be urbanizing. those who run the internet peering networks regularly "metrify" these by figuring out a graph reachability problem towards each "human", often mentioned @ the IETF: https://tools.ietf.org/dailydose/. we don't "need" as many farmers anywhere when there are globalized supply chains, the bigger issue is reliability and reduction of middle men (barriers to trade are one of them). The biggest win the Gates foundation has had is working on low cost/high efficiency water and sanitation in the developing world: https://www.gatesfoundation.org/What-We-Do/Global-Growth-and-Opportunity/Water-Sanitation-and-Hygiene but in general they have a very positive reputation in trying to bring about good governance (and business practices) for practically free.

Keeping the power on is very important, obviously. But keep in mind that VPPA (virtual power purchases) are increasingly being done across borders and even across oceans (sometimes by power companies every ~5 mins, but also on a variety of other time spans). This very much makes sense as grid(s) becomes significantly more resilient to dynamic changes to load.

In terms of decision making, most of this stuff done is already done by "robots" - or computer programs running some sort of optimization program (this is the traditional realm of operations research or management science). Or combinatorial optimization algorithms (search engines). Or these days, at scale massive distributed computation as network-of-networks of the world's supercomputers (how access and coordination is performed in highly concurrent resources, even to things like high throughput screening for the biotech sector). All this stuff is well known, but hard for any one organization or person to pull off; it takes a village.

I think it's _very_ likely we'll see in the United States an Europe (the General Data Protection Regulation) or California-like (the California Consumer Privacy Act) data privacy law. These laws apply only to Europeans or Californians.

Just so you know...  5G is being rolled out (not because it will help people download a video game faster), but because it will facilitate real time analytics so that people can better be monitored and their data used for the benefit of the Technocracy.  5G is not to benefit people, but to benefit the Rulers who control and manipulate the public with deceptions.

On Bill Gates - I guess you don't know how he has helped to sterilize or incapacitate or kill well over a million people in Africa and India.  Bill Gates is a major player in the New World Order, "The Great Reset", the Technocracy designed to control and monitor the population.  He provides major funding (not only to the media) but to W.H.O and The World Economic Forum.  He and Dr. Fauci talk weekly.

I think 5g mostly in terms of spectrum efficiency that is unlikely to interfere with other technology (it uses mmwave spectrum), especially combined with other things like SpaceX's Starlink.

I used to hate Bill Gates personally, especially in the late 90s. But that was mostly because I hated the hegemony of Microsoft (so, I worked on, for fun, in the "dream" of trying to make Linux the desktop "standard"). That failed horribly, but Linux became the server defacto, as well as most mobile phones. These days, Microsoft owns github, the "social network" for developers around the world. Gates has pledged to make energy one of his biggest focuses sectors in the next ~10 years. I think that's very wise.

I checked out the Event 201 thing. Looks like a bunch of people got together and talked about the results of some network simulation in some "war games"? This kind of thing happens all the time in the network sciences, which is of interest to a lot of other science, given the fact that every physical system (think about the principle of locality), computational system, biological system, and sociological systems have a lot of "relational data" that can be turned into a graph (which helps track what in english could be considered the differences between an affect, or an effect between whatever are vertices and edges, but it depends on the question being asked). Hell, a lot of people became amateur epidemiologists, and one fairly easy way to model a contagion is via a message passing graph. What's significantly more complicated of course, are models in vivo. (modeling) life is _hard_, there is more and more knowledge known. in human systems. incentives, motivations, and emotions are also often extremely complex of course.

Event 201 has over 5 hours of video at THEIR website.  It involved the New World Order players like the Bill Gates Foundation, The World Economic Forum, and others who want to dictate and control the populations.  Just months prior to the "official Covid Pandemic" across the world, they war gamed the scenario which included Big Tech censorship.  You can watch a "highlights" short video of the EVENT 201 here at the following LINK.

Those who are not aware of EVENT 201 are really in the dark.
