2020 City of Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Update September 9, 2020

Quote

Sturgis SD - 2020 City of Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Update

The San Diego State University IZA study regarding the COVID-19 cases resulting from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is blatantly faulty. The study concludes that nearly 20% of the COVID- 19 cases reported in America from August 2 to September 2 are due to the event. This outrageous conclusion is antithetical to actual case data as numerous State Officials across the United States have been actively seeking to tie any COVID-19 case to the event. Despite these active efforts, fewer than 300 cases have been identified nationwide. The careless ease with which mainstream media outlets have published a report that multiplies that factual data by 1,000 is shameful. The absolute preposterousness of the conclusion is further demonstrated by the results of the community-wide mass testing which occurred after the event, where there were 26 positives cases out of 650 patients tested.

The City of Sturgis holds those affected by COVID-19 in our thoughts and prayers as the virus continues to impact our nation and world. We recognize that individuals were exposed to the virus on their trip to, from, or while at the Rally, but the data reported by health officials across the nation show that the impact from the event was a mere fraction of what was projected and anticipated by many of the experts. The continued media focus on infection and the hope of increased transmission rates and death, following this event are reminiscent of the models that told us that locally our hospitals would be overwhelmed, we would have a massive lack of ventilators, and 3-5% of us would not survive. Fortunately, as we have seen, the underlying assumptions of these models were unfounded and categorically inaccurate, just as is the conclusion of this report.

So the recent rise in cases in the Dakotas is just a mirage. In the last seven days South Dakota has had 7,000 cases a far higher rate of infection per million people than even New York at its worst. In the same time Australia with 28 times the population has had less than 100 cases

"Mass testing" you do jest 365,000 people attended and mass testing of 650 people yielded 26 positive results. i.e. an expected total of infections in the order of  14,000 cases across the attendees, not to mention the people they infected after returning home. With an R number of 2 and a propagation time of a week that could well be 220,000 in 5-6 weeks. Unfortunately it is amateur analysis like yours has resulted in the US being the basket case it is

We know who you work for wumaodang.

I get you're not very bright but exactly when was Sturgis? The virus doesn't sit around for months then decide to infect people still in the state. Speaking of disinformation…

We’re you the dude calling anything other than an idiot a socialist? Meanwhile Trump gave away 3 trillion and is begging for more. Back in the Geingrich era those Republicans would have crapped their pants if they knew what this version of Republicanism looked like.

The visitors to Sturgis picked up a few hundred or thousand infections which take from a few days to some weeks to become infectious. Those people in turn infected 1-20 others each over the next 3-4 weeks. Those people in their turn have caused the current spike in infections

you accept anything the MSA publishes, or chooses to ignore, as truth of evidence or lack thereof?

Shocking as this may seem, the "U.S. only at ‘the beginning of the steep part’ of the coronavirus pandemic", Dr. Scott Gottlieb says 😱😰😭

I wanna see stats on preacher Covid infections. Being in between the congregation and the choir would logically earn hazard pay.

There is NO Federal Mandate to shut down the economy, nor mask, nor social distance, but…

…State and local government officials have refused to allow many businesses to reopen due to a virus with a CDC-predicted INFECTION FATALITY RATE of between 0.00002 and 0.093.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/planning-scenarios.html

Tuberculosis - TB is the leading infectious cause of death in the world, killing 1.4 million each year.

It is a respiratory bacterial infection.

The CDC says:  “Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by germs that are spread from person to person through the air…

…In 2018, 1.7 billion people were infected by TB bacteria — roughly 23% of the world's population.”

Survivors of a TB infection often have lifelong disabilities and health impairments.

Do we mask up, socially distance and shut down the world economies for TB?

It is time to recognize that Elite Mega-Rich and Powerful people are directing/facilitating a fear mongering campaign in order to better control the masses.  Those “who play along” retain favor in the controlled media.  Many are on board, because they benefit from the con game.

The duping of the populace has been very successful, because those in power recognize that most people cannot confront researching the facts.

Yes Tom, this is the deep state right wing shanaggens Trump is guiding behind the scenes. Where did the tax breaks go? Yep, the rich. The cornerstone ruse of the Republicans. Create the problem then blame anything and everything that moves.

TB deaths in the US are around 600 per year, not quite the impact of COVID-19. Not only that but could you imagine the uproar of Republicans spending money on the 1.4 million TB deaths foreigners fight? Lol, I don’t think you can play the compassion card. I also think you have trouble with US TB facts. Do a Google.

Judgement has been executed on Covid19 by Rev Kenneth Copeland.

Below, is a video where the Rev Copeland blows Covid19 away, and a music remix featuring the right Reverend.

Boat,

This has nothing to do with politics.  It is an agenda which you are supporting.  It is THE GREAT RESET.  You are playing into the control of the International Elite.  You are doing the bidding of the mega-rich.

And...if you don't know...Google is compromised...it is not here to benefit you.  It is here to mold your opinions and to monitor your entire life, including after the vaccine you will be getting in 2021.  Good luck with that one.  I wonder which one of the 6 Covid vaccines they will have slated for your category.  (They are categorizing people for each of the vaccine makers.)

You are presuming it would not have happened anyway via normal activities. It was not the Sturgis event that caused anything, it was the normal seasonal pattern of a winter flu like illness that always starts in the most Northern cold states, just like the South has a small bout of FLI in summer AC season.

There is no reason to treat CV19 as something other than a seasonal FLI. Rt varies greatly in locations depending on behaviors that are mostly related to weather.

The notion of stopping the spread of an endemic virus is purely a public health official conceit. The start and end points are always the same, you end with herd immunity . The course in between is something that policy can affect, but hardly anything is worthwhile other than letting it spread as quickly as the medical system can handle. Success is how few have died or suffered severe consequences on the way to the end point. Note that the most susceptible were already wiped out by the first wave. We know better now and have warned and prepared older people at risk on how to protect themselves and how their families and colleagues can help protect them.. Masks help in reducing viral loads but not in curtailing transmission in enclosed spaces. Europe's outbreaks are in highly compliant mask wearing states. The more liberal policy in other countries has gotten them closer to herd immunity and they see fewer deaths now..
