For those who are interested in the United States' energy policies, I'd recommend going to about the 20 minute mark.  At about 21 minutes he calls out OPEC directly.  We need Donald Trump at the rudder, not sleepy and weak Joe Biden.  The countries represented in that room have no doubts as to America's will, and they are the types who need constant reinforcement.  IMHO.  As it says in the description:

At first they Mocked him... But by the time he finished speaking They suspended the meeting in shame.

Poland "leading" the construction?   Or, perhaps Poland "leaving" the construction?  

Anyway, wht I found impressive (and I have not yet reviewed the entire tape) was where the camera panned over to the German Delegation just aftger Trump tells them they have to get away from Russia as their gas supplier.  You can see the little laughs of incredulity, as if to say, "Who is this blowhard to tell us what we can and cannot do?"   They look at Mr. Trump as if he were an imbecile.   

The German Delegation obviously does not like the idea of separation from Russia.  This is reflective of Angela Merkel's thinking.  Miss Merkel is from the communist sector, East Germanyu, and grew up under the Russian thumb.  She also never had any children, so the idea of "family" and the responsibilities that flow with that are alien to her.  You get the same mentality as you had with Janet Reno, the Dept. of Justice Director ["Secretary"] under Bill Clinton who ordered the aremed tank assault (wth flamethrowers) against the Branch davidians outside Waco, Texas, whihc resulted in the deaths of 25 children below the age of six.  She did not comprehend the over-riding necessity of  safeguarding children and instead ordered the assault, with tragedy and mass death following.  You get that from these women who do not marry and have children; they have some bizarre kind of internal warping that distorts their compass.  

The German delegation has this fantasyt idea that if you engage Mr. Putin and buy his gas then the Russians will become a peaceful member of the European family.   That is not going to work.  Putin will use the newfound wealth to go buy more arms and continue to invade and destabilize his neighbors.  Forced isolation of Putin and his cronies and shutting off their sales of gas and oil has the salutary effect. It has to be clear that either he behaves and removes himself from Ukraine, Georgia, and the Kaliningrad, or Russia is shunned.  That will work.

Keep in mind, that speech was some time ago.  Anyway, Poland is good to back up and encourage as they seem to be the only sensible beings in the neighborhood at times.  Many times, in fact.  And they have a fairly good memory (of both Germany and Russia) and try their best to follow their own path, IMHO.  I say good for them. 

Secondly, on the camera pans: I also liked it when Trump called out socialism as the abject failure that it is.  The camera panned to the Swiss and one sat dead-pan and the other looked to that person as if looking for the ok to roll her eyes and chuckle.  Unfortunately, for her, the world doesn't take the Swiss model of socialism very seriously, with all the banks, old German money, and heavily white......topped mountains to ski gleefully on with few other souls to pollute the landscape.

Poland is selfserving. Possibly more than most EU countries. For the time being Polands interest aligns with US and I guess that is why you call them sensible. They are also knowingly an economic supporter of US enemy North Korea (exactly the same principle as you chastise Germany for)

Wow 466 whole people (verified). According to your own article. If it weren't for the flagrant spin one could even argue it's humanitarian. But yeah, clearly all of Poland is in the tank with North Korea because of an unnamed Dutch company. Reaching much?

Rasmus, from the Scandinavian, pragmatic point of view you deduct that Poland's interests align with US.

The problem of Poland is that it is not the country that has interests, but has ideas, and idealistic approach of its political "elites" has terrible results.

I am telling this as a Pole and through the lenses of 1,000 years of very difficult history of my country.

Very simplistic picture of Poland, Germany, Russia, US relations and interests of each country vs Poland, very simplistic:

1. What is now Russia and Germany were neighbours of Poland for 1,000 years. And probably will be for the next 1,000 years. We are fighting with each other for 1,000 years. Now is the longest period in our history without Poland-Russia or Poland-Germany war (already 75 years since 1945, extremely long period without a war),

2. Poland is weaker/much weaker than Germany for 1,000 years, and is weaker/much weaker than Russia for 370 years.

3. The best for our interest is to have good relations with both Russia and Germany, with very strong economic relations with both . And on top of that to have security relations with the United States. to be continued
