Canada's [Fish] Oil Industry Will Be Indispensable For Decades To Come.

As far as the petroleum industry goes, anyone that would say something like this given what's going on with various energy technologies is living in another world. It might be a correct assertion, but it would be exceedingly dangerous to count on it.

Canada's fertility rate is 1.6 children per woman, so Canada's population in 2050 could have shrunk by one third, to around 25 million. That alone could alter the ratio of demand for electricity in comparison to hydrocarbons.

That Canadian Tar Sands bitumen in nasty.

Storage of dilbit needs to be vented because the gaseous separation of NOX2.  The processing of the bitumen/dilbit processing CO2 exceeded standards so instead of limiting production charged a 50 cent/bbl fee.

Dilbit is barely profitable at today's price per bbl.  What happens as the price drops to a future $40 bbl ?

Canada's fertility rate does not really matter when its immigration totals over 300,000 a year... Average age of death is around 80 so 80*300,000 = 24Million.  Of course they come over with average age of??? 30 or so, so great, only ~ 16Million.  Canada's population is 35Million or so with a fert rate of 1.6 which means eventually they have a deficite of 7Million and last I checked 16Million >>> 7 Million. 

Now said immigrants love voting for the slavery they ran from instead of integrating... as Percent of immigrants in your population matters as the USA has proven over the years with its ethnicity/race ghetto mob riots both for and against, throughout history.  Hint: Argentina, Brazil all have said same ethnicity/race riots as well.  Sorry, do not know enough about Australia's/Canada's history to say anything about their integration problems, but last I checked they only allowed WASP immigrants till ~1970 so...  I have been reading about India and on the regular they have ethnicity riots which kill a dozen or so.... China just mind washes people and tells them they are all Han... In the long run there is something to this method just as everyone used to be called AMERICAN, not English American or German American or Afro American or Latin American etc etc etc.  Besides, I dare anyone in the USA to say they are not a mutt other than direct immigrants from other countries and maybe their 2nd generation.
