Barr says no need for special counsels to investigate election or Hunter Biden

https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/21/politics/william-barr-hunter-biden-election-special-counsel/index.html

Washington (CNN)Attorney General William Barr on Monday rejected several of President Donald Trump's inflammatory and unfounded statements regarding the presidential election, saying at a news conference that he doesn't plan to appoint a special counsel to investigate President-elect Joe Biden's son Hunter or the election.

"If I thought a special counsel at this stage was a right tool and was appropriate, I would name one, but I haven't and I'm not going to," Barr said in response to a question on the presidential election. He said that widespread fraud wasn't found in this election.

Barr also roundly rejected suggestions from the President's supporters in recent days who've called for the US government to seize voting machines.

"I see no basis for seizure of machines by the federal government," Barr said Monday.

Newsmax has no evidence of multiple claims aired on its network, including that Dominion or Smartmatic used software or reprogrammed software that manipulated votes in the 2020 election

https://www.axios.com/newsmax-correction-fox-news-dominion-smartmatic-0886023b-a9fc-42c5-b68f-d8492ad04e5e.html

  • Newsmax host John Tabacco, the latest to issue an on-air clarification, said on Monday's broadcast: "Since Election Day, various guests, attorneys and elected officials have appeared on Newsmax and offered opinions and claims about Smartmatic and Dominion Systems. ... Newsmax would like to clarify its news coverage and note that it has not reported as 'true' certain claims made about these companies."
  • Tabacco went on to say Newsmax has "no evidence" of multiple claims aired on its network, including that Dominion and Smartmatic have a business relationship, that Dominion uses Smartmatic software or vice versa, or that "Dominion or Smartmatic used software or reprogrammed software that manipulated votes in the 2020 election."

‘I’m Haunted by What I Did’ as a Lawyer in the Trump Justice Department

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/20/opinion/trump-justice-department-lawyer.html?action=click&module=Opinion&pgtype=Homepage

After four years of bulldozing through one institution after another on the backs of skilled lawyers, the Trump agenda hit a brick wall.

The story of the Trump campaign’s attack on our elections could have been the story of the Trump administration’s four-year-long attack on our institutions. If, early on, the Justice Department lawyers charged with selling the administration’s lies had emptied the ranks — withholding our talents and reputations and demanding the same of our professional peers — the work of defending President Trump’s policies would have been left to the types of attorneys now representing his campaign. Lawyers like Mr. Giuliani would have had to defend the Muslim ban in court.

Had that happened, judges would have likely dismantled the Trump facade from the beginning, stopping the momentum of his ugliest and most destructive efforts and bringing much-needed accountability early in his presidency.

Before the 2020 election, I was haunted by what I didn’t do. By all the ways I failed to push back enough. Now, after the 2020 election, I’m haunted by what I did. The trade-off wasn’t worth it.

In giving voice to those trying to destroy the rule of law and dignifying their efforts with our talents and even our basic competence, we enabled that destruction. Were we doing enough good elsewhere to counterbalance the harm we facilitated, the way a public health official might accommodate the president on the margins to push forward on vaccine development? No.

No matter our intentions, we were complicit. We collectively perpetuated an anti-democratic leader by conforming to his assault on reality. We may have been victims of the system, but we were also its instruments. No matter how much any one of us pushed back from within, we did so as members of a professional class of government lawyers who enabled an assault on our democracy — an assault that nearly ended it.

We owe the country our honesty about that and about what we saw. We owe apologies.

I offer mine here.

Former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne is an Independent politically.  He does not vote Republican nor Democrat.

“Betrayed From Within”: Patrick Byrne Blasts White House Staff After Attending Election Meeting With President Trump, Sidney Powell and Gen. Flynn

December 20th

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/12/betrayed-within-patrick-byrne-blasts-white-house-staff-attending-election-meeting-president-trump-sydney-powell-gen-flynn/

Former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne blasted President Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows and White House lawyers in comments posted online Sunday about a meeting at the White House Friday night with Trump about the contested presidential election that Byrne attended with attorney Sidney Powell and former Trump national security advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn (U.S. Army ret.), saying that Trump is being “betrayed from within.” Byrne also denied the reporting that a military coup or martial law were discussed.

Patrick-Byrne-White-House-Meeting-121820

“My involvement is I was in the room when it happened. The raised voices included my own. I can promise you: President Trump is being terribly served by his advisers. They want him to lose and are lying to him. He is surrounding by mendacious mediocrities.”..In addition, any suggestion if there was talk of a military coup or martial law is also a flat lie. 100% false. I was there for 4 1/2 hours, I heard the entire conversation, that is a 100% fabrication.”

Byrne called out White House Counsel Pat Cipollone as the leaker to the New York Times about the meeting and accused Meadows and White House staffers of lying to Trump to get him to concede, “I was there for the full 4.5 hour meeting. Claims military coup/martial law were discussed is 100% fabrication. Trump is lied to by his own advisers, who tell staff “get the president to concede“ while they stall Trump. Meadows + Lawyers Eric, Derek, GC Pat Cippollone (leaker).”

Rather than trust Big Brother at Google world domination, I'm going to post links and videos on platforms that aren't going to yank the content. Now for those who claim there's no evidence, please answer the question of why videos, including those showing election crimes committed are deleted, again and again? If Google / YouTube have nothing to hide, why do they keep hiding the videos? If you exclusively sea search on Google, what makes you think they're showing you the entirety of the answers to your query, given that they're openly and flagrantly censoring videos? What else are they censoring from your view?

Army leaders push back on Mike Flynn’s call for the military to ‘re-run’ the 2020 election

https://taskandpurpose.com/news/army-secretary-chief-2020-election-mike-flynn/

The Army isn’t planning on helping anyone overturn the 2020 election results any time soon.

While that statement may seem obvious to most, it appears others might need a reminder — namely, retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, President Donald Trump’s first national security advisor and a noted conspiracy theorist.

On Dec. 17, Flynn appeared on Newsmax, a far-right news channel, to declare that Trump, who lost the presidential election in November to former Vice President Joe Biden, could “take military capabilities, and he could place them in those [swing states], and basically re-run an election in each of those states.”

“These people out there talking about martial law like it’s something that we’ve never done. Martial law has been instituted 64 — 64 — times,” Flynn said. “So, I’m not calling for that, we have a Constitutional process … that has to be followed.”

Arizona GOP chair urges Trump to heed Flynn and 'cross the Rubicon,' alarming people who get the reference

https://theweek.com/speedreads/956323/arizona-gop-chair-urges-trump-heed-flynn-cross-rubicon-alarming-people-who-reference

Hilarious that Ward is invoking "Crossing the Rubicon" in her attempt to "stop this coup and save the republic."   Julius Caesar Crossing the Rubicon marked the end of the Roman Republic and the start of civil war.  Figures she'd have it backwards.

Addt'l historical point.  As I teach my HS History students, one reason Caesar succeeded in overthrowing the Republic is that his men pledged an oath to serve him, not the Republic.  Thankfully, our military swears an oath to the Constitution. Trump's crackpots will not succeed.

Trump Is Losing His Mind

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/12/trump-losing-his-mind/617446/

Given Trump’s psychological profile, it was inevitable that when he felt the walls of reality close in on him—in 2020, it was the pandemic, the cratering economy, and his election defeat—he would detach himself even further from reality. It was predictable that the president would assert even more bizarre conspiracy theories. That he would become more enraged and embittered, more desperate and despondent, more consumed by his grievances. That he would go against past supplicants, like Attorney General Bill Barr and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, and become more aggressive toward his perceived enemies. That his wits would begin to turn, in the words of King Lear. That he would begin to lose his mind.

So he has. And, as a result, President Trump has become even more destabilizing and dangerous.

“I’ve been covering Donald Trump for a while,” Jonathan Swan of Axios tweeted. “I can’t recall hearing more intense concern from senior officials who are actually Trump people. The Sidney Powell/Michael Flynn ideas are finding an enthusiastic audience at the top.”

You are presuming that the reporting you are quoting has something to do with reality. It does not.

The election fraud is well documented, That Dominion is lying is documented as well.

What is true is that Fox and Newsmax are presenting the interviewees as if they were their own reporting, which they were not. They are just taking a free ride on the work done by the many Trump and pro Trump people to document the fraud and Dominion's role in it.

The media are on the line to be prosecuted along with Dominion and the election officials and staff in the swing states and elsewhere in context of charges of racketeering and treason. The machines lacking records put the election officials in violation of the record keeping requirements, and it is a jail time  offense in itself, it is also destruction of evidence which is a further felony. Rather than purge the record of Fraud, they have assured themselves of charges that are the most trivial to prove. By violating Federal law, they also established Federal jurisdiction for investigating the Fraud, so that they are outside the protection of their state apparatus.

You are part of the conspiracy promoting Chinese narratives in their attempt to take over the US political system with their bought intel assets, including Biden himself.

Axios, being part of the conspiracy, should be worried. They have been feeding you lies for their entire existence. I would entirely discount their reporting as false. They are falling for a misdirection. Trump is not being more aggressive against his opposition in the establishment and radical left, he is being as aggressive as he was before, but is doing so openly and loudly via his surrogates, that are a step removed from the White House itself.

The nuthouse is not White House, it is the DNC, the corporate media and its corporate clients living off the China labor and subsidy arbitrage. They know what they did, how they did it and are aware of what they are facing if they don't succeed. Insurrection and treason are not something you get a slap on the wrist for.

Interesting that in the omnibus bill where Americans get a whopping $600 to make up for losing their businesses and livelihoods (an amount Nancy claims is "generous" even though the $1000 Trump's tax relief bill put in people's pockets was "crumbs") we find this little tidbit about election fraud, exactly like ours but it's someplace else so it must be real no?

Man, I guess you need your hand held. Like politicians, and for the same reason, maybe a diaper change too?

That Twittwr post was from, what, 6 weeks ago?

Going off of what Krebs said, that I know you posted as well (and gloated about like a spoiled brat), it was secure.

Like so many things, new information comes to light..... like ELECTION FRAUD EVIDENCE.

For being "highly educated" (a four year bachelor degree isn't highly educated these days, since they're giving those out for gender studies and calling it science too) you're pretty slow.

Trump was boasting that his administration made the elections more secure.  If some massive fraud occurred under his watch what does that say about his administration?  Sure you can blame individual states, but was trump good at dealing with the governors? Nope.

Just like he was going to "drain the swamp" then complains that the swamp persists.  So you are weaker than the swamp monsters?

Essentially admitting he has no control over the country...

I have a family.  My wife, mother, brother, sister and their kids. It will be sad not to see them for Christmas.

I have no fights to fight, Canada is pretty calm.  Even without covid nobody does anything this time of year...

Or that the IG gave Krebs the lowest grade in his personal and department's performance. He should have been fired long ago. Incompetent buffoon. He disinformed the President, served to hide the porous Dominion tabulators, software and reporting network.

if he couldn't do that, then the crucial defense and intel networks are definitely out of his depths.
