Kevin McCarthy, Minority Leader in the House is on Fox, crying over the immigration disaster about to erupt.  What a laugh, when he and McConnell the other creep who is the Senate leader, said 74 million supporters of the President (voters BTW) were told to storm the Capitol because of  Trump's remarks.  Although evidence is mounting that the FBI had known about possible violence 1-2 weeks before January 6, and did zip, no big deal.  Now, they plan to impeach Trump and he's already out of office and playing golf.  The Constitution clearly states that impeachment is for "removal", so the entire Congress has gone insane and it's clearly terrifying to anyone who doesn't think that a woman is a man and a man is a women, if you decide that's the case according to Biden.

So, McConnell is being smacked around by the conservatives and they plan to remove him if he votes to impeach.  Liz Cheney from Wyoming, who stood up and told the world "Trump incited violence and must be impeached", now has a serious challenger who raised $50,000 in 2 days.  Her head is also on the Republican leadership chopping block. Meanwhile, Biden is running amok and the Republicans look like bobbleheads since they think by impeaching Trump they can rid themselves of the supporters (those baaadddd Republicans).

Hate to tell McConnell and the like, but the Trump movement is not anything like a phantom Bush movement.  The Bush movement consisted of Karl Rove and Bill Barr.  Speaking of which, where the hell is the Durham report you piece of crap and why didn't you speak up during Trump's first impeachment (for those of you who don't pay attention to politics, this is Trumps second time at bat), classified docs are flying all over the place about the Steele dossier.  A piece of junk, fabricated and compiled by Christopher Steele to overshadow the Clinton private server and hacked e-mails of national security classified information provided to our enemies and given to the FBI and media.  Oh, and paid for by Hillary and the DNC.  Then, in comes Mueller and his band of ugly tropes, which included Weissman of the Arthur Anderson litigation that was overturned by SCOTUS.  Like Biden, Weissman was responsible for the loss of 85,000 jobs at the accounting firm which was bogus. Meanwhile, during the "first" impeachment Barr was crickets on the investigation of the Biden's on the Ukraine energy shenanigans with Burisma. So Trump's asking about Burisma and any investigation that might be happening and he gets impeached by Pelosi and her whack job Intel boob Schiff.

I could write about 4 paragraphs on Schiff, but he's not worth the time.  So, for all of you that believe Trump deserves impeachment, look at the videos of BLM activist John Sullivan, who is calling to the crowd to burn the MF down.  It does give a bit of context to what happened and we can only hope the Republicans get a backbone and stand up for the Constitution, or we're goners.

Also "speedy" in legal terms can mean a really long time.

"No length of time is per se too long to pass scrutiny under this guarantee."

Your ignorance is astounding, what do you actually know about oil, other than your car needs an oil change now and then?

Here's the deal, most of the 4 million bbls per day Canada produced at the peak came from the oil sands. That bitumen has an API of about 10 on average. The minimum pipeline spec calls for API 19.5 and for safety reasons they up that to 20.5. Now how do they do that? Turns out they have two choices. They can blend it with diluent (usually pentanes plus) at about a one to three ratio.  The other option is to blend with the kind of light, tight oil that the Bakken is famous for. As I've already explained on this site for years, because unlike you I actually know the oil business, the API of shale oil runs from 38-60 trending towards the high number. That makes it extremely light and in fact useless for refining into diesel and jet fuel. The long chain molecules simply aren't there.

So buckwheat, the optimal solution is to take heavy bitumen and blend it with light tight oil and send it down to the gulf coast refineries where there's enough of both kinds of crude to satisfy demand for all end product, not just naptha and gasoline. The margins are better, the product is better and it's a win win for the industry and consumers. This endeth the lesson

Take your optimal solution and shove it back where it belongs. Canada has the option to send it westward but your hero Trudeau pissed on it ....In June 2014 the Northern Gateway pipeline project was approved by the federal government, subject to 209 conditions.] The CBC questioned the silence concerning the Northern Gateway project and suggested that Enbridge might have quietly shelved the project. Upon taking office in 2015, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau imposed a ban on oil tanker traffic on the north coast of British Columbia, effectively killing the project.[7] On 29 November 2016 Trudeau officially rejected plans for the pipeline. ........If you are in love of piping Canada Crap Oil so much get behind the Northern Gateway...... PS Keystone was proposed so the tar sand can expand again and again.... no demand for it in the US ....It is just a plan to flood the US with oil. .....Once again your ignorance is astounding......F Canada

Hi @Jan van Eck

So magnanimous today!  I know, why bother when the simple answer says it all.

People live in a fantasy-land about their supposed "rights" under the Constitution.  That gets trampled on six ways to Sunday in just about every court in the land.  At one time, long ago, the 6th Amendment was "good law" and a defendant could avail himself of rights under the law.  Then the USA became heavily bureaucratized and the legal system shifted over to one supporting the idea that criminal defendants should get convicted.  In both Federal and State Courts, the system of deep bureaucracies, or the "Deep State" as referred on these pages, set up systems wherein the Defendant would be worn down by interminable delays and procedural barriers, both to exhaust him physically and emotionally, and to drain his pocketbook to the point of penury.  At that point, the defendant cries "uncle," pleads out to some lesser or single charge, and the plea agreement (typically with a sentencing agreement) goes to some judge for rubber-stamping.

The upshot of this new paradigm is that you have a better chance of a speedy trial in Belarus than you have in the USA.  And Belarus is nothing to shout home about.  In terms of prosecutorial abuse and court abuse, the USA and its Deep State justice department stands shoulder to shoulder with countries like Russia, Bolivia, and North Korea  (probably China, although you likely even have a better shot in China than you do in the USA.  China only has a 99% conviction rate; the USA has just about a 100% conviction rate, roughly what you get in North Korea).

The US Justice Dept is a colossal fraud upon the People.  You get that result in a complex society where the legal system is politicized and expanded to become a large bureaucracy, a "Deep State."  My personal recommendation is that, if you are ever called to sit on a jury, to always return a verdict of Innocent, a process known as Jury Nullification.  Only by rebuking the Deep State can Americans ever hope to reclaim the original protections enshrined in the COnstitution (and in corollary State C onstitutions).  Right now, the process is hopelessly corrupted.

Does anyone here seriously think that the  Buffalo Horns Man, that actor with the fur and the face paint wandering around in the Capitol, even though he did nothing evil at all, just showing off, is ever going to escape jail?   No chance.  The Federal Prosecutors and the FBI have him in their cross-hairs and they fully intend to make an example of him.  Turns out he walked in through open doors.  He is busted on "being in a restricted area," as if the hall of the Congress of the People only belongs to the State, not the People. He is headed for jail, same as if he was picked up in Burma. That, folks, is what America has degenerated into. Makes East Germany look positively warm and welcoming.

You have just summed up America's most pressing problem:  they simply cannot find good people to lead.  What you get are these people with complex personalities and emotional issues that prevent them from leading by example.  Leading from behind no longer works; that collapsed with the Crimean War.  The one in 1853  (not the Putin "green men" paratrooper takeover).

Agreed.  But secondly and at the same time (Immigration reform) we have to provide a legal means for seasonal workers to enter and work, and pay taxes, etc.  Somebody has to fill those jobs.  Within that process there should be paths for the workers to immigrate and have their families follow, but it must still go through the full process.  It takes about 5 years for most immigrants to become citizens.

Employers absolutely have to be held to account to ensure that documented, legal workers are on their payroll.  We have the resources for all of this.

Adding people hasent proved to solve anything except a few more billionaires and 1/2 the population making $30,000 or less. I think it’s around 120 million extra citizens since WWII.
Cheap labor is just an unfair subsidie for anyone. Make business pay $15 an hour with healthcare and keep employees out of the emergency room where 1/2 the country doesn’t pay the bill anyway. Let consumers and the market sort out who survives. Those farmers can plant something else. The price jumps on certain food products, that is demand opportunity for those who solve it. Nobody left to do the dishes and wait tables? Welcome to the robot. We need less people, not more.

It is always more complicated picture than that.

These robots will need more people who program them, robotics engineer, programmers etc. Majority of US youngster nowadays avoid STEM and go for Arts because Arts are much easier to have a college degree to brag about and more fun. Most job we work for is not about fun but duty. To attract people go for STEM, they made some subject like Math much easier but stills not easy enough and that is not the way it should work.

It doesn't mean US tech workers are less skillful, because once they start working, US companies invest heavily for them to R&D with top technology in very large scale of users to nurture talents. However there is a tremendous shortage of tech workers in the US simply because they youth are afraid of STEM even it was easier than many other countries.

In many other developed countries (Canada, Australia, NZ, UK, EU) , they let immigrants in with a merits system, mostly engineers, tech workers, accountants who need to have job offers first (skills proven). With the exceptions of Syria refugees 2014 to the EU.

So in one hand US has lack of people who invest their time in challenging STEM and improving their trade skills with works. In the other hand you have much more Arts youth people who don't have trade skills to have a career job, but too artists to have a hard working job like in the farms or general labors, these jobs came to immigrant legal and illegal.  Many will live with their parents and collect welfare and gathering with friends for games or drinking or drug or being use for political activists, which are a tremendously waste of young labors.

The 15 minimum wage + healthcare did nothing to increase the number of temp workers. Most of expensive city are full of illegal workers. The 15 minimum wage + healthcare will push pressure on small business owners ( not billionaires) to hire more illegal and less legal workers.

The illegal worker will lose his job to another illegal worker when he has green card because his employer will have to give him minimum wage and healthcare. In big cities it will not affect much in the output as there is a large sources of illegal workers, but in small towns where everyone know each others and no illegal wants to gain too much attraction, they will have to let go part of their workers. So the minimum wage increase in Federal level doesn't solve any problem in big sanctuary cities and cause problem in small towns. It will also affect elder who passed retirement age but want to work part time because if I am ready to pay 15 dollars + healthcare, I will go for young workers.

A good business owner in big cities want to do things the right way and look after his employees will face hardship and collapse or reduce the size, especially their chance of surviving economics crisis. The cunning exploiting illegal workers, the new slaves and whose descendants may ask for reparation 100 year later when they are now legal resident, will shine in the unfair competition.

Corporations simply reduce number of the workers and replace it with order robot or online robot, especially since Covid19. They didn't do it before because it was not expensive enough to have a human worker.

Many middle classes don't have that stable income like salary workers. One year they can have 400k and pay high tax, the few next year they may loss and don't have their tax back.

So the consequence is opposite to what you wish for. No problem solved. People with money will not invest in manufacturing or businesses but in speculation in stock or houses with cause more unemployment, recession and weaken US Economy's backbone.

Most of the billionaires you think raising tax will target them  doesn't get much affected as most of them are capital gain tax (still much less than income taxes) and they don't need to pay tax until they sell them. Jeff Bezos someday get bored of being a boss he wouldn't sell all of the share he hold because:

1 pay the awful lots of capital gain tax in that year (still much less than income tax brackets).

2 Push Amazon stocks to plummet, people think Amazon got problem and too many stocks sell on the market. It may have a chain reaction on the whole stock markets.

Let me know if any mainstream or politicians warned you the above. If they are honest, they should have a list of cons and pros and don't tell you how to choose.

Be careful what you wish for.  Now that the Dems/Libs have taken control of all 3 branches of government, we are ripe for the 4th Industrial Revolution, the Global Reset, and the New World Order.  If I'm not mistaken, the plan is that we will have:

  1. Open borders
  2. Automation (robots) replacing human workers in every area possible
  3. Robot companies (Amazon first)
  4. Steep decline of the workforce, transition to no employment
  5. Universal healthcare
  6. Stay at home with pay, paid for by robot companies (quote Bill Gates: "I don't think robot companies will care about paying.")
  7. Brick & mortar shopping is no more: all shopping will be online and delivered, your 5G fridge will order delivered re-stock
  8. Don't own anything: if you want to cook, they will deliver the tools; if you need to go somewhere, an autodrive car will arrive within minutes
  9. Healthy living managed by available food products (BAD ones no longer available) and social pressure to exercise
  10. Very high but acceptable suicide rate until mental adjustment levels out with the young (flatten the curve, don't you know!)

Put the crack pipe down Bucko. I've never been a Trudeau fan, exactly the opposite in fact. Everything I said was correct. Because Venezuela is shipping 1/4 what they're supposed to, that heavy had to come from somewhere didn't it? But don't worry, Biden will screw everything up so badly not a single person will admit to voting for him. Then he'll get "reselected" in a landslide since the Demoncrats will have normalised cheating in elections, er selections.

Speaking of amazon. Remember, it was amazon web services who kicked Parler off their platform for "not accepting the results of the free and fair election". Guess that didn't apply to union votes where supervisors can keep track of who voted naughty or nice. "Rules for thee but not for me" says the richest man in the world

You've just got to hope that the grown ups behind the scene have some kind of plan because what has just happened is a massive (30-40%) chunk of the US patriotic population has just been demoralized (it seems?) and humiliated and I just don't understand the point of that in a world where China is pushing forward with it's own agenda.

When you look at this from a broader geopolitical perspective none of this makes sense....not one bit and that is nothing to do with whether I like or hate Trump.

The CCP right now must be laughing and celebrating, from their perspective the US has fallen but here we are with a decrepit old guy in the WH with a bunch of commies waiting for him to step down.

Maybe all this great reset stuff or one world government stuff is true but again how does any of that make sense while countries are building aircraft carriers etc like crazy?

I've done my best to unravel this for my own benefit and amusement and have come up totally stumped...I just don't get it and that is after 12 years of feeling pretty confident I had a good idea of the direction we and the world would go in and with many predictions proven to back me up.

This is the strangest thing I've ever witnessed in my entire life

Sit back and watch I suppose...

there is no geopolitics when one major power chooses the leadership of the other, unless the military and/or the people respond and remove the inserted fake foreign controlled government then the geopolitical rivalry is on hold or gone and one side has made a decisive victory on the other. Just that it be clear, the CCP and its contingent of globalist partners has managed to overthrow the government of the Unitied States to install a puppet regime that immediately put in place a series of decisions supported by fewer than 11% of the population.

It is entirely unlikely that the military does anything other than arrest the foreign occupied government and its allies.
