Joe Biden's Presidency

It's called regulatory capture. Healthcare uses the government regulations they wrote passed through their lobbyists to make sure they get to keep their oligopolies and barriers to entry. You just gave your full throated support to the swampiest of the swamp critters to become president, even if few humans actually voted for him, but criticized incessantly the guy working to drain that corrupt swamp. No buyers remorse from you now, suck it up buttercup

I believe I gave an example of swamp and you turn it into a Biden hit piece. I fully expect your right that little to nothing will be done just like Trump. That’s why Trumpism is no more effective than Dem politics. Both parties are great at bumper sticker slogans, like you are, but in Texas we call that all hat and no cattle.

Systems like health and pharma protect their own and their money. I imagine world wide. Until they get disrupted. Many to most disease problems have been around for decades with little attempt to drive costs down. Who hands out drugs in the US? Doctors with a minimum of 12 years of collage. Even the uneducated know their options. In this example we can use diabetes. Your blood test determines the dose. There are a handful of options. A machine can read your blood test and say same ol, same ol for a decade with little use of a doctor or a pharmacy. Just mail it to me. If a reading on your blood test is out of range, bingo, here are your top 5 choices for adjustment based on millions of people in a similar condition. Pills from a-warehouse cuts out tens of billions in infrastructure and unneeded education.
Healthcare education is expensive in the extreme and healthcare systems don’t look to eliminate cost. Healthcare infrastructure is extremely expensive but healthcare systems don’t look to eliminate cost. Pharmacists and their infrastructure don’t want to be replaced by a warehouse. Some day, some day, a Jeff Bazos type will become a top 5 billionaire and get-er-done.

Do you know Amazon just spy on the sellers on Amazon, see the profits. If they cannot track out the suppliers then they will put a mark that the seller are selling fake or violation of pattern products and you will be forced to disclose your suppliers. Then Amazon will go to that supplier, offer better price and took over your products.  Then they will use "Amazon recommended" against their competitors or increase the price as monopoly when there is no more competition.

Amazon doesn't have union and are famous for exploiting labor workers.

And we hope these kind of guys will lower the cost of medicine for the public benefits? He can just buy their stocks to benefit.

More, Pharmacy can sell expensive medicine while the same in the EU are 3 times cheaper simply because of FDA and regulation. Even Amazon can buy cheap medicines from oversea, they cannot change that fact. The problem of big Pharmacy was never about competition or technology that would make them obsolete. No one tax your dream anyway but justify the possibility of "dream comes true" is a separate matter.

About the hospital bills, cost for doctors is just a fraction of hospital administration and insurances. I think they should give more scholarship and subsidies in these talents rather than Arts degrees with have no market values.

But no, one side Government do nothing about increasing medicine, hospital prices and premium insurance, in the other side they hand out ACA from tax payers  which leads  to higher premium, higher tax and and less and less jobs and more ACA  to match the high price and we are wondering why it keeps increasing?

Boat seems to have experienced a large part of his career in a corporate stack and making it work. Make no mistake here that would be a very socialist environment.

If you look thru the lense of a corporate employee a regimented discipline is the way of things, survival and success

Socialist tendencies become instinctual, being a floor supervisor adhering to systems would be the only course of action acceptable...

Trump would truly be chaos in his world.

I wonder or he is in love with Dem and then hates Trump. Or he hates Republican and hates Trump.  Or he hates Trump and then the republican.

Trump joined Republican in 1987, switch to Democrats in 2001 and switch back to Republican in 2009. He didn't really represent Republican until he was elected in 2016.

TBH, I rather have Obama as a President than Biden. Because Obama cannot use discrimination against old and dementia elder as excuses to sell out the US interest publicly and then expired, it is an abuse the elder.

I encourage any one voted for Biden sings about one of his policy or execute orders that benefit common people in US. The stimulus the bad is far outweighed the good.

It is okay to live with the swamp but it is not that okay to not realize that we are living with the swamp. My short term benefit is with Dem but my long term benefit will lay with the US. So I didn't vote for Biden.

This corporate social environment we  have lived in for 30 yrs has morphed into a full blown socialist society for many.

Who elected Biden, the corporate media, who funded his message corporations,  for the love of god, Bloomberg personally pumped 1.5 BILLION DOLLARS into the defeat of Trump.

They say NY is the financial center of the world, almost every event or person involved with Trumps loss centers around NY. Media, Money, and Law Enforcement, my god even Covid.

Trump never a institutionalised Republican nor Democratic, and that was a problem.

In New York news, I had to go buy more popcorn for the upcoming Cuomo Aria.  Oh, yes!  Now that they've thrown that New Yorker to the curb, or under the bus, or whatever euphemism you prefer, I think he will react like any other big ego and take a few down with him.  Who will it be?  Hmm.  Munch munch.

Blazzio is not missing the moment now is he, lol NY way of life. How this all ends will be quite a spetical, Biden is in such a bad mental state he's ducking the state of the union speech.

Yes Cuomo may well sink a few ships along the way...for whom the bells tolls sounds familiar. Looking at the barb wire and troops surrounding the capital indicates to me untold guilt and fear.

Blazzio is trying to get on the right side of this, because he knows he's next.  Think about it: the Democrat Party (Rah-rah Sis-boom-bah!) is distancing itself from the realities of their New York fiasco.  A lot of New York lawyers have been denied income during the fiasco, and they have appetites rather like sharks, so....

Another angle on why the Left is abandoning Cuomo:

Opinion: Why the Democrats Are No Longer Protecting Andrew Cuomo

Now that a third woman has stepped forward to accuse New York Governor Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment, the man once thought to be presidential material is fighting for his political life. The sexual harassment allegations follow the New York State Attorney General’s report showing that the governor’s office under-reported COVID-19 deaths at New York nursing homes where infected COVID patients were sent, under Cuomo’s directions. With Democratic officials joining the growing chorus demanding that Cuomo leave the governor’s mansion, every day seems to bring more bad news.

How did the 63-year-old politician’s star fade so fast? His briefings on his state’s handling of the coronavirus earned him an Emmy Award, and his book, “American Leadership,” about his epic management of the COVID crisis, hit the New York Times bestsellers’ list. It was just a few months ago that luxury retailers were advertising women’s underwear stamped with the name “Cuomo.” Liberal women swooned to hear the governor’s gravelly, cocksure voice, and his CNN appearances with his playfully obsequious younger brother Chris endeared them to left-wing audiences of all ages. And now the governor’s fans want his blood.

That’s because the media is doing its job, say media experts. The objective and bipartisan press, they say, is holding the rich and powerful accountable without fear or favor, just as they do with Republicans. Nonsense—that’s not why the left has Cuomo in its crosshairs.

“Cuomo’s deadly policies on nursing homes have been well known among conservatives for a long time,” said California Congressman Devin Nunes. “However, before the election the legacy media ignored that story, instead perversely hailing Cuomo’s exemplary leadership in fighting COVID and praising his self-congratulatory book. It’s unclear why Cuomo’s team even bothered with a cover-up since the media was already doing it for them.”

Despite the avoidable COVID deaths in his state, the media extolled Cuomo because he played a central part in the signal project that consumed the efforts of the Democratic Party and its press partners from November 2016 to November 2020—pushing Donald Trump out of the White House. The ugly truth is that the high COVID death count in Cuomo’s state was useful to the Democrats because they exploited it to make Trump look bad.

But turning on Cuomo hardly means that Joe Biden’s party or its media mouthpieces have found their moral center. Rather, it just means Cuomo is no longer of use to the party. In fact, it’s because he represents a threat to other ambitious Democrats that the party has lifted its protective screen and green-lighted the media’s campaign. It’s open season on Andrew Cuomo.

“What’s changed is that Kamala Harris is now Vice President, the de facto President and the chosen standard-bearer for the Democratic Party,” said Nunes. “So the party’s power brokers are zeroing in on Cuomo as well as California governor Gavin Newsom, who are her most likely rivals. Meanwhile, the legacy media is helping the party go after her competitors, while big tech is obediently lifting the filter from Cuomo and allowing the attacks to score.”

With the relentless, and continuing, attacks on Nunes after he uncovered evidence in 2017 that the Barack Obama administration had spied on the Trump campaign, the nine-term congressman has become an expert on how the media and its Democratic Party masters partner to deceive the public and advance their destructive causes. In his recently published book, “Countdown to Socialism,” Nunes discusses the effects of the online media “filter” and other aspects of what he calls the “Disinformation Funnel”

“The purpose of the Funnel,” he writes, “is to filter, refine, direct, and amplify propaganda ultimately disseminated through laptops, tablets, and smart phones. From there it goes directly into your brain.”

Sometimes the purpose is to push propaganda in and other times it’s to keep real information out. Some joint media-Democratic Party operations, like the “very fine people” hoax, accomplish both. Deceptive editing of Trump’s remarks regarding the 2017 riots in Charlottesville, Va. was used to feed the claim he had praised right-wing extremists as “very fine people.” In fact, Trump said that the neo-Nazis and white supremacists participating in the riots should be “condemned totally.”

Biden has said that he decided to enter the 2020 race because he was so outraged by these remarks falsely attributed to Trump. If that’s true, it means Biden was inspired by a lie, which the media still repeats. The “Disinformation Funnel” is so effective that one of the lawyers who represented Trump during the second impeachment didn’t realize that the “very fine people” episode was fraudulent until he began preparing his defense of the former president.

The Funnel is regularly employed to protect Democratic Party favorites. Evidence of Hunter Biden’s ties to allegedly corrupt foreign officials—in, among other countries, Ukraine, Russia, and China—were ignored prior to the 2020 election even by prestige media organizations, like the New York Times, that had previously reported allegations of his involvement. Of course, those stories were filed before his father became the party’s presidential candidate. But with a chance to get rid of Trump, social media sites like Twitter and Facebook blocked reports of Hunter Biden’s corruption, claiming, without irony, the reports were part of a foreign propaganda effort

Cuomo, once thought of as potential commander-in-chief material, is now more likely to spend his days fending off federal prosecutors and sexual harassment suits. The lesson, which is sure to be lost on other Democratic officials who constitute what is effectively an American politburo, is—live by the Funnel and die by the Funnel, too.

He was a terrorist, a terrorist that was part of a terrorist regime bent on eliminating all who do not subscribe to their backwards, sadistic drive to kill all who do not bow before them.  Rather than go to war and risk the lives of untold numbers of both military and civilian PEOPLE, Donald Trump chose the option, yes it was an option, to take out that one evil man.

Defend the opposite side of that argument if you will, but then you confirm you are all that you bloviate to condemn.

There are plenty of people (whether it is internal in the US, or her allies) who are very much into national security who would call it an assassination. Of course, this depends on your definition of assassination and terrorism. Words are hard.

The middle east is obviously, a very "complicated" place. It takes more nuance to see who the 'evil' side and the 'good' side is if you look at it from a binary point of view. For example, during the Iraq/Iran war in the 1980s, was it Saddam or the Revolutionary Iran? Well, during Iran Contra, we supported (covertly) Mousavi, the prime minister of Iran at the time, who was democratically elected in 2009 and largely thought to be the leader of the reformist block in Iran.

Unfortunately, in 2009, the hardline conservative and holocaust denier, Ahmadinejad, rigged the election helped by the (unelected) theocracy, which started a legacy of protests on Twitter and other social media and eventually led to the Arab Spring elsewhere.

In 2013, Rouhani ran under a reformist banner and won, though he was less reformist than Mousavi. But pragmatically, he could talk about nuclear disarmament legitimately. We negotiated in good faith in 2015 along with our allies (the Europeans) and signed a treaty which led to an era of transparency in Iran. Then Trump administration tore it up to everyone's astonishment.

Meanwhile, the situation in Iraq and Syria deteriorated extremely fast (see ISIS/ISIL). Is ISIS or the Shia militias that kept order in southern Iraq more or less evil? The Shia militias are more or less going to be naturally aligned with Iran and naturally against the Sunni extremist groups since they were oppressed during Saddam (Sadr City was more or less a Shia slum). Who is less or more evil?

How about Assad, who probably used chemical weapons against his own people, or ISIS, the Kurds, the Turks, or dozens of other groups? Who is less or more evil?

How about the Saudis? Was it good or evil to kill a Washington Post journalist and then hacking into Jeff Bezos' phone? Was it an assassination?

Obviously the killing of Soleimani led to many complexities for those who want peace. We can't preach stopping extra-judicial killings and extra-judicially kill someone who had kind of been a "frenemy" to the United States anyways (as in, the US and Iran were on the "same sides" of various wars in recent past).

That's interesting. Let's take Disinformation Funnel and reword ("rebranding" is common in the combinatorial arts)  to "Disinformation Theory". What is the opposite of Information Theory (or Communication Theory)? Disinformation Theory.

Here is the size of the information funnel - there is about ~~20 yottabytes of digital information captured by humans and growing exponentially - how do you organize it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orders_of_magnitude_(data)

Cuomo was defenestrated because he wasn't well liked and seemed like a bully.

Uh huh. It's pretty clear that only fringe (extremist) elements would have complied with such a order (Trump "suggested" he "might" use armed forces).

Keep in mind what the law (has long) said about sedition:

https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=%2Fprelim%40title18%2Fpart1%2Fchapter115&edition=prelim

What all the former defense secretaries (Trump ran through 6 of them, new world record, even through he only served one term said:

https://apnews.com/article/10-former-pentagon-chiefs-trump-warning-eac5170301db792231b94537bfbbceff

As the defense secretaries noted, what the president asked the guard (or any military/militia) to "possibly get involved" in would have been unconstitutional (in plain text, it would authorized the president to suppress the insurrection, not light a fire in it). I guess the secretaries actually read the constitution that they swore to uphold, just like our former president, but we have (long) known that the word of our former president doesn't mean much, because he doesn't seem to have a moral compass.

Trump stained the good name of George Washington. Washington could have been king for life, but he rejected it. Everyone since has had a peaceful handover.
