I think we are in an era of change, which IMHO is great. Building systems that are resilient in the face of change and encourage inclusionary practices so that cross-pollination of "best practices" are important. I think the most amazing thing about humans is how adaptable we all are. These days, many jobs are automatable via application of automation (lets just call it computer robotics, the study of information and cyber-physical systems and how to automate the dirty or unsafe work that humans may not want to do). Of course, this depends on the individual, for example, I may not want to type out a bunch of text, and it's not hard to automatically generate context sensitive text with modern "AI" relative to other context. I would create virtualize myself, give myself multiple "brains" (hats), and be very multilingual (so my virtual person could "auto complete" a lot text, of course, there are errors, but my higher order "grammar" checker could learn some style guides, but how formal would it get? A legal blue book?). What do you choose to automate or move to autonomy? I thinks kind unsafe working conditions (or preventing unnatural deaths) should be first, IMHO (think about all the jobs on for example oil/gas rigs that required a lot of human labor but were dangerous - what do you do about lost jobs?).

Reading your word salads, why do I suspect you've already done this? My friend built some of the best AI agents in the world 2 decades ago. You're about halfway there, using obfuscation to hide missing context. It might work on the weaker minds. I'm not quite ready to call you a bot, but haven't crafted a term for "bot assistant". Botass has a certain ring to it…

Trump's party (by this I mean the Republicans, not the Democrats) lost the Presidency, House, and Senate. I guess Trump appointed a bunch of judges (this is pretty random in terms of who dies and what you may be able to "expect" from a judge) and started a bunch of trade wars. What did he win from those economic wars?

For the last time voting machines stole the election. For all we know, republican candidates won in state after state. Even a small hand count in New Hampshire a reliably blue state found an 8% discrepancy, votes for republicans switched to votes for democrats. They immediately stopped the hand counts, terrified of the blowback from voters. I've already documented this. Your arguments that "courts haven't agreed" fall on deaf ears because courts are terrified to open Pandora's box

Read this and try to think about it. Thomas was 100% correct and if you were right, along with the useful idiots here, you should be 100% in favor of a fair and open trial to examine all the evidence and put this to bed once and for all. That you're not pushing for that says everything I need to know about you.

I truly have a fondness for the below information,

“At least 450,000 ballots in the key states ... miraculously only have a mark for Joe Biden on them, and no other candidate."

Bartiromo breaks down the 450,000 figure to five states, saying to Powell: "You say it’s 98,000 ballots in Pennsylvania, 80,000 to 90,000 in Georgia, another 42,000 in Arizona, 69,000 to 115,000 in Michigan and 62,000 in Wisconsin." The numbers do add up to approximately 450,000 votes and appear to have originated in a Nov. 7 tweet by the editor of a conservative news website called The National Pulse.

In reality where they looked into that and decided the fraud claim was false.

You live in the fantasy.

They said regardless of outcome there was no recourse they could take.

They never looked at if there was fraud or not.

They were scared and intimidated by the Democrats.

There was recourse.  It's all laid out in the Constitution. Only  State legislatures can make election law.

Justice Thomas was correct.  The Supreme court is shameful.

You say regular Joe Republicans don't like Trump. What ?

Yea, regular Joe Republicans like McConnell , Romney , Kasich , etc

The old Crony Capitalism Republicans are dinasuaurs.  They are almost extinct.

It's not Republican vs Democrat anymore.    It's insider vs outsider.

I don't fit as a Republican or a Democrat.  Both these parties are enriching themselves at the expense of the folks.

In fact I don't view Trump as a Republican or a Democrat. Maybe the "New Republican Party"

Biden family has become filthy rich not by working hard or smart but by selling influence. They cowtow to China at the expense of the U.S. worker.

But so does McConnell and his wife Elaine Chao and the family $1.2 Billion shipping business partially financed by the CCP.

How about the Hedge Funds and Private Equity firm managers that pay no income .  Example: Romney was paid in shares of the private equity funds he help to manage at Bain Capital.  His holdings reap compounded gains every year until he sells some shares, if he sells some shares.  That's how he accumulated $500,000,000 in wealth. When his estate is settled the cost bases is the price of those shares at the time.  Today most of the $500 million is in living trusts for his children. Viola ! ROMNEY PAYS NO INCOME TAXES OR CAPITAL GAINS TAXES ON HALF A BILLION DOLLARS. !

Trump exposed the hypocrisy of the elite political class.  He wants to work for the folks.

McConnell, Cuomo, Pelosi , Romney , Biden , Schumer , etc , etc , etc  are full of it.  Both parties have insiders.

You are full of it.

Dopey people like you want to whine and play identity politics.  Create division and unrest.

Trump wants to talk about the China threat, Big Tech censorship, Wall Street abuse, runaway immigration   .  .  things that matter.

The U.S. companies and Wallstreet can do great business and be profitable in China.  Trump was getting the U.S. to Fair Trade with China.  But China wants to dominate and have bought off U.S. Politicians, U.S. Tech Firms and U.S. Banks.

Sym

What's your take on "Carried Interest" tax loophole ?

What's your take on China hegemony ?

What's your take on Bidens and McConnell/Elaine Chao selling their vote to foreign governments.

Keep repeating your crazy Democrat narratives.  Those white, Philadelphia suburban, college educated , women soccer moms that voted for Biden lol because he said wear a mask might believe you .

.  .  .  but not many of the 75 Million Trump voters buy it. These voters will have something to say about it in 2022.

Trump has the opportunity of a lifetime to help the U.S. with his CPAC speech on Sunday.  Let's hope he doesn't waste it.

No I don't need to. If I count my wife's side out, most of my long term friends were born in rich families or have a rich in laws or have talent that work for big tech, big 4 and have much higher income. I know them because I was in school for gifted in VN, then I was international student.

I could have a rich wife and have an early retirement if but the only condition was going back to VN, assuming that we would be happy couple forever. But I chose listening to my father to stay in NZ, as my father expected, as an immigrant, jobless after graduating in recession 2009 and live by parents support from VN and still have very close rich friends who are working and have high salary. I guess  I was in similar situation like Marx except I didn't accept friends' money or don't have an elite wife. When my "successful" younger brother from SG came to NZ to visit me and met my friends, he thought I pretended to be cool or successful to be accepted and told them I had no job and live by parents' support.  None of my friend was  surprised to hear about that.

Actually most of my big decisions, I left it to my father (who sent me to study oversea and didn't want me to come back to VN, like him did from West Germany), wife (who needs to support her mother in the US as the only child). Because I didn't make any decision, I don't have much regression.  I don't hate or love people because they are rich although I consider myself  and my wife up until now "proletarian", my net worth is negative.

You left the part the rich people get rich by risk taking, or have long term vision and determination or have good connection. Even luck is part of strength. I guess my loyalty lies with the team that gave me the first job in the US, kind of my first US friends, not the employer as I know the nature of corporations although I do like my CEO and the guy next to him. I guess we are a good team because I still am the last developer joined them since I came to the US. No one left or fired.

My mentality is that I don't bother to look for other jobs, I am not really good in adapting new environment or new politics as I will have to guess what they expected on me so would be more stressful for non technical issues ( I got around 3 invitations for interviews every week since last 3 years with attractive pay and  position). But I am prepared to be laid off any time and it is my job to keep my trade skill competitive and know what the market out there wants.  I don't expect my loyalty would be compensated. I want to think that I trade my skills and time for money and I don't need to risk losing any capital but my current job.

When I got laid off in my first job, the employer told me not to take things personally and I learned to try not to. I actually appreciate him to give me the first career job otherwise I wouldn't know what to do. Then I was unemployed for another 1 year until I work for free for another startup until we have a big customer. I was working with that customer few months even when I came and worked in the US.

Actually when I joined the team I worked independently on my own projects and when I had nothing to do, I  had to dig out job to do from other teams and this year and last year I was overflown with projects as a result of the digging from all these years.

Corporations are cold because of the number game, but many people who work in corporations aren't and even with people who I don't understand, I don't worry much as I have no control nor expectation over how people should think about me. It is their own free will so feel free to hate me.

If I don't expect much, I don't get disappointed and will have less hate. No one owes me anything. ( Maybe with an exception one high school classmate, haven't seen me for 10 years, was stuck in the US because of Covid19 and borrowed me 2k and didn't hear back from him since. Later on I found out that he was asking to borrow money from the whole class who got fb active. I didn't set the due date nor charging interest so in theoretically he is still a honorable man who will pay me anytime from now.)

I know I am greedy as well, and always dream off someday I will be rich and have an early retirement instead of  about retirement in  next 30 years, but that simply not an excuse to hate. I know it is normal, it just doesn't make any sense.

Seems like somehow my values are very aligned to US individualism and conservatives.

Nah.  In Vermont, Bernie is mild.  The hard-core Leftists are way past Bernie, he is considered a harmless old grandpa, everybody likes him, nobody takes him too seriously.  The far Left here has no time for Bernie.  The place seems to be over-run by Leftists from Massachusetts that decided Mass. was not Left enough, so they went to Vermont to set up their far-left ideas.  Some of it is seriously wild.

Jan, if Bernie is mild, Stalin must be the norm. I know you are too smart to really believe some of the things you write. Bernie and his wife were married in Moscow. Communists AKA socialists etc. often couch what they say in  acceptable ways. My stepfather was a likeable guy but was a  communist. Only those who knew him well, realized where he was really coming from. They just thought he was a good Democrat.

Does this sentiment carry over to UVM ?

If Bernie is considered mild I hate to see the real Vermont Left.

Bernie is a socialist/communist just like all of the "hard left".
