Colombia to partner with NATO... What does this mean for Venezuela?

"Colombia will be the first "global partner" of NATO in Latin America, beginning next week, President Santos announced Friday." Venezuela not happy. But what does this really mean for them?

One of the worst nightmares for Venezuela come true and indeed it has been done intentionally by Juan Manuel Santos and also being the candidate in the colombian elections a dolphin of former rightist president Alvaro Uribe, Ivan Duque, and knowing the even more ultra radical postures of uribe velez against Venezuela, this move definitely has set the ground for a greater geopolitical strategy by NATO against Venezuela preempting a larger escalation of a humanitarian crisis in the making with regional consequences.

So if Columbia is now a NATO ally they should allow them to export it's most valuable commodity product to NATO countries without any limits. Because that would be the biggest economical aid that war demaged Columbia might get after a long civil war.

Just like in seventies and eighties -  one biggest but not alone cartel from Medelin every year exported cocaine worth roughly 10 bilions $ to USA. Watch Cocaine Cowboys (1,2,3) or read Jon Roberts biography for example. Because "Narcos" is much more popular but its rather just gangster movie not a documentary.

Just like Afganistan on massive drugs production after Taliban overthrow .  Besides Taliban is slowly winning the war recently.

I'm not a fan of Venezuela which socialist country  built on oil. But I'm not sure whether Columbia built mostly on cocaine and oil in last half of century is really much better than Venezuela.

Maybe you meant Dictatorship built on oil, with a thin veneer of socialism on top
