Has there been any progress in cleaner recoverability of oil shale? At least in early 2010s a lot of people thought it would be worse than the tar sands. I think the sheer success of tight oil killed oil shale for the moment in the United States.

There is no hope for CO. It is going to be the next rust belt because of democratic, liberal progressive control of State Government.

They are doing anything and everything to kill of the so successful, lucrative and high benefit giving oil and gas industry in the State of CO.

Denver has already become  a SCHITTHOLE and getting worse and worse by the day, the term CRAPPIFORNIA of the ROCKIES will suit the entire state soon enough.

No hope...since the 80's there has been no hope. One would think its is someone's hidden treasure chest. If ever tapped one can only imagine the yields it might produce...a endless source of NG to meet any and all power needs to heat up the sands and there rewards...

At the rate the "Denver area" is growing in population, they are eventually going to rename the entire zone from Cheyenne to Pueblo "The City of Front Range".
