Roch + 537 DR April 2, 2021 (edited) Many do not understand in most states OVER HALF of the Nursing Homes and Long-term Care facilities are STATE OWNED. The State Nursing Homes are managed and funded from State coffers. Under normal circumstances the Federal Government provides a $200 / day reimbursement per Medicare patients in one of these state facilities. During the pandemic the CDC authorized that fee would increase from $200 / day to $800. That's a 400% increase ! Democrat Governors can't go after the windfall $$$ for the state alone. That would look bad. They needed to force the Private Nursing Home owners to accept Covid patients against their better judgement. The State Governors were told (1) we're not prepared for Covid patients (2) We can't handle the Covid Patients (3) People will die if you make us accept Covid patients. THE GOVERNORS KNEW, YET FORCED IT ANYWAY. Many states packed as many elderly Covid patients into the Nursing Home facilities as possible. (4 X $800 = $3200) . That's $3200 / day for letting four elderly patients lay on a bed in a small room while they die. Some even put patients on a gurney and kept them in hallways. The daughter of a patient in New York related how she received a call from a Nursing Home where her mother was being cared for asking her to take her home. They wanted the space to bring in a more profitable Covid patients (@ $800 / day vs. $200 / day). Last Spring a New Jersey Nursing Home requested 25 body bags. Authorities were suspicious as no deaths had been reported. Upon investigation they found 5 dead Covid victims. THEN AN ANONYMOUS TIP LEAD THEM TO A STORAGE SHED WHERE THEY FOUND 12 MORE BODIES DUMPED. The Nursing Home was hiding the bodies. Total of 17 deaths. The NJ Nursing Home was not reporting the deaths and collecting $800 / day X 17 dead Patients = $13,600/day. New Jersey Governor Murphy was told people will die if forced to accept Covid Patients. He did it anyway. Over 70% of the PA Covid Deaths were from Nursing Homes as a result. During the pandemic a California family's mother died from cancer in the hospital. When they received her death certificate it stated the cause of death was Covid-19. Pays to run up and inflate Covid Deaths. Pays to keep state on Lock-Down. Receive more of that $1.9 trillion pork legislation. Michigan Governor Whitmer also condemned elderly Covid patients to Nursing Homes and now refuses to disclose public data on the Nursing Home deaths in her state. When the elderly Covid Nursing Home patients were in their final days an ambulance picked them up returned them to the hospital (scared patients were not told where the were going) put on a ventilator (CDC increased the Medicare payment from $13,000 to $39,000 for admitting a "complex respiratory" patient) where they died alone without family by their side.
