Oh no it might be a bit darker at night!  Reducing wasteful practices like lighting up a monument nobody is looking at saves money - the opposite of economic destruction.

Also note these problems are because of fossil fuel dependency; which is the real problem.  Excessive dependence on unreliable foreign energy will drive renewable energy growth.

I put in 1440W of PV in 2020. Thanks to sky rocketing electricity prices (due to gas going to the moon) that pays for itself every 4 years. 

No subsidies or feed in tariffs involved 

Infact thanks to a combination of renewables and efficiency measures our monthly gas and electric bill is £150 instead of £450 which it would have been with gas prices going into orbit. 

I was so impressed with solar PV I put another 2.7KW in last month.

Stomped in the House? It is so close it hasn't even been called yet you dufus. The green agenda has already been passed and there is nothing the House Republicans can do about it especially with their microscopic majority if they do pull this out. The Dem Senate however will be turning out judges at speed.

The US is a net exporter of petroleum, we have no oil dependence. The oil is imported because we have the refineries and then the product is exported.
