NCM Li-ion batteries contain some nickel, cobalt, and hydrocarbons that are somewhat toxic, but not as much as gasoline. AS EV's grow, their supply chain transportation and mining will shift to using green resources.Simple. Big miners are already moving to electric/hydrogen from diesel. A supercharger would cost $50,000 or so. An L2 charger (240 VAC at 30 Amp) will cost about $1000, because they will be installed en masse in the parking lot. this is also an upper bound: most people do not charge at work, but I wanted to add the $1000-per-EV cost to my conservative "infrastructure" estimate. Dan - it is you who are not reading me, and you've compounded your error by coming up with yet more absurd estimates. My one sin was a careless use of the word super charger. I wasn't talking about that but the job of rewiring entire car parks and strengthening the electrical systems for the installations. That is the cost. Forget the chargers. Even where the car park is built with chargers in mind, you are NOT talking about $1,000 extra per car. As for your assertion that really not much additional power will be required to run a vast fleet of EVs, the power system in most places are already struggling because fossil fuel has become a dirty phrase and renewables are being loaded onto the network. Now you want to load on EVs! Admittedly the main grid is built to handle peak demand and has a lot of spare capacity during normal operations, so maybe you could support an EV fleet of 5 per cent of the total car fleet without too much trouble. Its when you start getting beyond 10 per cent, may be, you'll strike problems. Again, I urge you to look at the Norway example. they can do this sort of thing because they already had a very strong grid and excellent all-hydro power supply which permits them to export a lot of power. I note you did not bother to challenge my points about EV incentives and charging stations around the states. I'm sorry you were not corrected on this before but the costs involved with the adoption of EVs in large numbers will be horrendous. At the minimum carefully planning will be required, as happened in Norway, which avoided major disruption but is now trying to work out how to reduce the enormous costs involved. Now I'll leave you to it. The debate has gone on long enough as it is.

Climate Nexus, the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication, and the George Mason University Center for Climate Change Communication surveyed over 2,000 registered voters online in late September and early October. The poll's margin of error is plus/minus 2.2% at the 95% confidence level. Pollsters found that 82% of voters somewhat (33%) or strongly (49%) agree that "the primary goal of U.S. energy policy should be achieving 100% clean energy." Respondents were also asked to weigh in on legislation introduced in Congress "that would set the goal of achieving a 100% clean economy (eliminating fossil fuel emissions from the transportation, electricity, buildings, industry, and agricultural sectors) in the United States by the year 2050." Over seven in 10 said they somewhat (31%) or strongly (40%) support such legislation—the same total percentage who said they somewhat (32%) or strongly (39%) support "requiring electric utility companies in the United States to generate 100% of their electricity from renewable sources, like wind and solar, by the year 2035." "The conventional wisdom has clearly changed," Anthony Leiserowitz, director of Yale's program, said in a statement about the survey results Tuesday. "Voters strongly support a national transition from dependence on coal, oil, and gas to renewable sources like solar and wind." The poll shows majorities of voters believe that transitioning to a 100% clean energy economy would positively impact jobs and economic growth, energy bills, rural and farming communities in their state, and communities of color in their state. A majority of respondents (62%) also said they would be more likely to or would only vote for a candidate who supports "providing a multi-trillion-dollar federal economic stimulus that prioritizes investments in clean energy infrastructure." 1 1 1

Nobody has the faintest clue of how the Earth takes care of itself! If Climate Change is so Concrete then why can’t the scientists predict Earthquakes or Tornado’s to a scientific level? In the late 60’s through 80’s it was all about the ozone layer, yet we and other countries blew bigger holes in it launching rockets and the space shuttle then all the refrigerant that was causing our demise in the world! The people like the ass hole Clinton’s , Hollywood and liberals grab onto this and know absolutely nothing and can’t provide the concrete science on it, they all are throwing darts! The biggest scammer was Al Gore who make millions selling this to the kool aid drinkers blind following idiots they are, all fly private jets and are quick to say they purchased a carbon offset! THAT IS WHAT THIS REALLY IS ALL ABOUT, $$$$$$$$ and nothing else, just a hustle to sell their fucked up personal agenda!
