223,000 jobs added in May

The U.S. economy added 223,000 job in May as U.S. companies continued their hiring spree, according to the Labor Department's monthly jobs report released Friday. The unemployment rate fell to 3.8 percent, the lowest since 2000.

When wages start jumping up by $2 or $3 an hour ithen I'll believe the BLS numbers.

Gasoline prices are up.
Insurance premiums are up.
401(k) is down.

Take this # into consideration

Perhaps they are hiring so many people to monitor the sanctions and the tariffs...

Obama era hiring trend continues. Hope inflation doesn't hit too hard after those ridiculous tariffs.

It is weird that the GDP growth number isn't picking up along with the new jobs. Any theories on that? I agree that the job numbers look good.

At the same time, Trump's tariffs will take away 2.6 million jobs.

We also did great in 2000, when Clinton controlled the deficits, then squandered it with the Bush tax cut for the rich. We lost years and now will happen again.
