There are many thousands of people who would benefit from government largesse in rapidly and uneconomically spending trillions of dollars on rapid deployment of wind and solar trying to reach unreachable goals by certain dates in time. Our allies are all somewhat unreliable and not in alignment with American values and good American policies. China has alienated, to some extent, most nations around the world. So has Russia and North Korea. We need to capitalize on our adversaries weaknesses while building better relationships with allies of any value to us. We have nothing to gain by being an unpopular nation, but should not compromise our values to be popular. Neither should we waste our money on helping nations that are not in alignment with us. We should reduce trade with China if they do not buy sufficient American products. That should apply to all of our trade partners. We need to have reliable supply lines for all of our necessities and desired products. That should be the goal of our government. There is no way any country is going to do even a fraction of the changes the IEA recommends. Its in the same category as all the other reports we've seen in the past 30 years that "we're all doomed unless we cut emissions and live in poverty right now".
