Facebook, Twitter, et al...PUBLIC UTILITIES??

Perhaps considering social media as a "public utility" might lead to firm regulation.

The idea of just declaring FB, Twitter et. al., as 'common carriers' has gained a lot of traction lately but, really, it would be an uphill battle.  For sure, there are problems with the current set up - but this isn't the way to address them.
