2019 - Attack on Saudi Oil Facilities.

I am quite surprised at the reaction and geopolitics of the 2019 attack on Saudi Facilities. The oil industry needs to revisit the 2019 incident in light of the recent circumstances, such as Nordstream and Irans nuclear deal. Even though the major economies of the world rely on OPEC+, and have for generations, these Democratic Institutions have become more aggressive towards Saudi in general. The democratic governments seems to ignore the fact that the oil industry is a heavily capital intensive industry, made through hard work, alliances and labor of many a years. The US refuses to allow, sale of weapons to Saudi and even acknowledge the the Prince instead relying on rogue governments such as Iran, to attack the Saudi interests. This has been going on since 2019 with the Democratic government, including many a young fresh democrats, sitting in their nice cozy office,  taking glee in the fact that they are able to to hurt the oil industry. Due to this fact the partnership between Opec+ have gotten stronger and the US, instead of making the big oil industry a 'pariah' has instead turned itself into one. Countries such as Saudi Arabia and Russia have formed stronger alliances and bonds, with capital investments flowing into Russia rather than the US.  Countries such US, South Korea, India, Japan, UK and China, ( although BP has enjoyed the increase in price) have now bonded together to release strategic oil reserves, in a empty political gesture aimed at reducing oil price when instead their own economies have benefited much from the increase. Instead of focusing on the synergies that exist within these economies and the Kingdom, these countries have decided to take an opposite stance, ignore negotiations, ignore history, and instead push toward their own agenda.

US removed Patriot Systems. The Saudis then ordered a new Patriot System and 40 Personal from the Greek Government. The Greek have for a long time an S-300 long range System in place. The Southern and Western parts of Saudia Arabia are less protected because of the Desert.

The Patriots aren't effective for altitudes under 200m even according to the official spec. The Patriots the Saudis did have in place also had a 90 degree observable sector restriction. (The newer ones will do 120)
