Russia is the world’s 11th largest economy, with a GDP of $1.48 trillion as of 2020, 3% lower than in 2019.1

Russia has moved toward a more market-based economy over the 30 years since the collapse of the Soviet Union, but government ownership of and intervention in business is still common. As a leading exporter of oil and gas, as well as other minerals and metals, Russia’s economy is highly sensitive to swings in world commodity prices.63

I just want to make sure that people know that Neo Nazi's are a major contigent in Ukraine...

How Many Neo-Nazis Is the U.S. Backing in Ukraine?

— Neo NAZIS in the News and on Facebook —

Praise Of Ukrainian Neo-Nazi Battalion Given Green Light By Facebook: Intercept
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/praise-ukrainian-neo-nazi-battalion-given-green-light-facebook-intercept

EXCERPT
Though it has in recent years downplayed its neo-Nazi sympathies, the group’s affinities are not subtle:
Azov soldiers march and train wearing uniforms bearing icons of the Third Reich;
its leadership has reportedly courted American alt-right and neo-Nazi elements;
and in 2010, the battalion’s first commander and a former Ukrainian parliamentarian, Andriy Biletsky, stated that Ukraine’s national purpose was to “lead the white races of the world in a final crusade … against Semite-led Untermenschen [subhumans].”
With Russian forces reportedly moving rapidly against targets throughout Ukraine, Facebook’s blunt, list-based approach to moderation puts the company in a bind: What happens when a group you’ve deemed too dangerous to freely discuss is defending its country against a full-scale assault?
–The Intercept

According to Facebook’s new internal policy reviewed by The Intercept, the company will “allow praise of the Azov Battalion when explicitly and exclusively praising their role in defending Ukraine OR their role as part of the Ukraine’s National Guard.”

Examples of allowed speech include: “Azov movement volunteers are real heroes, they are a much needed support to our national guard,” and “We are under attack. Azov has been courageously defending our town for the last 6 hours,” and “I think Azov is playing a patriotic role during this crisis.”

That said, the group still can’t use Facebook for recruiting purposes or publishing its own statements. The regiment’s uniforms and banners will continue to be banned as hate symbol imagery.

Examples of speech regarding the group that’s not allowed, includes things like: “Goebbels, the Fuhrer and Azov, all are great models for national sacrifices and heroism,” and “Well done Azov for protecting Ukraine and it’s white nationalist heritage.”

Facebook confirmed the decision, but refused to elaborate….

Relation towards anti-Semitism

More than 40 Israeli human rights activists signed the petition to stop arms sales to Ukraine arguing that Israel is selling military-style Tavor and Negev automatic weapons to the Ukrainian government knowing that some of these arms end up in the hands of right-wing, Azov militia.[93]

Despite accusations that the group is anti-Semitic, some members of the Jewish community in Ukraine support and serve in the Azov Battalion. One of its most prominent members is Nathan Khazin, leader of the "Jewish hundreds" during the 2013 Euromaidan protests in Kyiv.[94] In an interview Andriy Biletsky explained that he regards Israel and Japan as role models for the development of Ukraine.[95]

Protests resume as Russia seeks to quash invasion critics

By DASHA LITVINOVAyesterday

Demonstrators shout slogans in St. Petersburg, Russia, Friday, Feb. 25, 2022. Shocked Russians turned out by the thousands Thursday to decry their country's invasion of Ukraine as emotional calls for protests grew on social media. Some 1,745 people in 54 Russian cities were detained, at least 957 of them in Moscow. (AP Photo/Dmitri Lovetsky)

MOSCOW (AP) — Protesters took to the streets in Moscow, St. Petersburg and across Russia on Friday to decry the invasion of Ukraine, even as authorities sought to suppress the spreading antiwar sentiment and project an image of strength and righteousness.

The largest demonstration erupted in St. Petersburg, where several hundred people spontaneously gathered in the city center, chanting “No to war!” as police in full riot gear detained one protester after another.

The OVD-Info rights group that tracks political arrests counted 437 detentions in 26 Russian cities, including 226 in Moscow and 130 in St. Petersburg. In Moscow, police were also detaining random people who were just passing by, according to media reports.

The rallies on Friday night appeared smaller than on Thursday, when thousands took to the streets across Russia. A total of 1,820 demonstrators were detained in 58 Russian cities on Thursday night, including 1,002 in Moscow, according to OVD-Info.

The state of US and SE Asian relations:

When Blinken made his diplomatic three country visit to SE Asia in December, he received a very rude reception.  On the day that he met with Jokowi, the Indonesian president held back to back meetings with a Russian diplomat.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/blinken-competes-top-russian-official-indonesia-81717986

This is no coincidence and tight slap in the face, since Blinken's visit was planned long in advance.  This insult would be unimaginable when Indonesia was ruled by the military; the dictator Suharto,  who was installed by the CIA, and the retired general SBY.

In fact, current president Jokowi's late father was a known Communist.  It was the CIA which triggered the killing of millions in Indonesia.  Only part of the CIA's activities have been declassified.  While crucial documents that could provide insight into U.S. and Indonesian activities at the time are still concealed, the broad outlines of the atrocity and America’s role are there for anyone who cares to look them up.

Moreover, Blinken had to cancel his trip to Thailand - ostensibly because one American journalist contracted COVID.

There is certainly a replacement for SWIFT that works within Russia. This is why they also cannot prevent VISA/MC cards issued by sanctioned banks from working within Russia. (Including Crimea) Working outside Russia remains TBD.

Russia's secret army that was used in the first Ukraine war by the Russian Bear.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagner_Group Andrei knows nothing about this of course. Nor does he know about the Chechens going to Ukraine to help Putin out. 🤣

People need to really look at the history of Ukraine...  People need to see the history of the CIA and NGOs to grasp that many "protests" against Russia are orchitrated via covert operations.  I'm not saying that Putin is an okay guy.  I am saying that many people are being duped badly.

There is so much U.S. propaganda, and on many flanks.   Most people will not do the hard study to LOOK.

No. It is a whole regiment with several battalions now. Probably more of them in Mariupol'.

What does the image of a destroyed Grad suppose to mean?  Oh, I see. It's got a Z and thus is Russian?

You did cause a massive genocide of at least a million people (officially communists, but really everybody remotely left-wing, and simply any Chinese) and installed what universally is believed to be the most corrupt junta ever, in the entire history of mankind. They have very little reason to like you.

Do you extend blessings to peace protesters when USA bombs it? I barely remember any. Everybody is so happy for people being blown into chunks on a made up pretext (as you have no real reasons to go to war) Remember this

C7sZMZVXgAIXpa_?format=jpg&name=small

This is when USA lost a good friend and acquired an enemy in me.

I pray for you. May you encounter something similar to what you bring to the rest of the world close to your own home soon enough. This is what is happening to Ukrainians now. They have been dehumanizing and genociding their own people, aided by slick Western propaganda tools and suddenly are getting a dose of their own medicine. Being Russian and speaking Russian language is a right which one should not be fighting over.

Anyhow, start thinking of USA as of bigger Ukraine already, to get into the mood? No technology and no amount of GDP makes you safe against the righteous wrath of the rest of the world. Which will inevitably gang  up on you, the abomination on the face of the world.

I've seen plenty, thank you, this was to be expected. Ukrainians are us, and thus can fight like us. Making great progress anyway, though. Soon to be deprogrammed and getting a clue.
