Please explain why China is your enemy.  Has China ever attacked any US troops anywhere?  Do you own Taiwan? fyi, From 1945 to 1975, the USA sanctioned China and prevented China from purchasing crude, grains, fertilizers, and thousands of other items.

Please see Wikipedia regarding the Chinese invasion to save the North Koreans during the Korean war. I find it surprising that you are not aware of it. General MacArthur was relieved of duty by President Truman for insisting on using Atomic weapons against the large numbers of Chinese soldiers sent to help China against Americans.

Kissinger talked President Nixon into allowing China to grow into a more democratic state. We now see how that is working out.

Ukrinform has many stories daily of real Russian atrocities. They far exceed anything that might happen to anyone you can mention. You are a charlatan. The United Nations, The EU, the World Court and many others worldwide are watching. Russia is now seen for what it really is. The world now sees it clearly. Russia is on an inevitable downward trajectory together with China, North Korea, etc.

Here is the truth to prove that Andrei is not to be relied on. Russians have killed civilians on purpose. They have used cluster bombs on many houses and blown up many large apartment buildings all over Ukraine, yet some want to deny the weapons Ukraine needs to punish Russia.

UN says 4,481 civilians killed in Ukraine since Russian invasion started

16.06.2022 20:19

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) says that 4,481 civilians have been killed and 5,565 injured in Ukraine since the full-scale Russian invasion started on February 24.

That's according to a civilian casualty update published by OHCHR on June 16, Ukrinform reports.

According to the update, those killed include 1,739 men, 1,159 women, 119 girls, and 125 boys, as well as 40 children and 1,299 adults whose sex is yet unknown.

Those injured include 1,133 men, 788 women, 125 girls, and 164 boys, as well as 173 children and 3,182 adults whose sex is yet unknown.

Most of the civilian casualties recorded were caused by the use of explosive weapons with a wide impact area, including shelling from heavy artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, and missile and air strikes.

OHCHR believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration.

This concerns, for example, Mariupol (Donetsk region), Izium (Kharkiv region), and Popasna (Luhansk region), where there are allegations of numerous civilian casualties.

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched an unprovoked war against Ukraine. The invaders have been shelling and bombing cities, towns and villages in Ukraine, torturing and killing civilians.

The U.S., EU and other countries have imposed sanctions on the aggressor country.

Would you bother to look up the actual interviews with residents of liberated areas like Mariupol? Anybody who calls this war "unprovoked" has no credibility whatsoever. Next, you are going to claim USA had nothing to do with it?

The legitimate government of Korea retreated northwards, and begged for help from anybody who could and would help. Only China responded. China won. The USA retreated, divided Korea, and established a puppet government. USA troops remain in Korea: in fact, the entire armed forces report to a single amucun general. No troops from China are in Korea.

https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Why-Chinese-Imports-Of-US-LNG-Collapsed.html

By Tsvetana Paraskova - Jun 25, 2022, 6:00 PM CDT

  • Chinese imports of LNG from the U.S. plunged by 95% between February and April.
  • Most U.S. LNG spot cargoes were headed to Europe at the beginning of 2022.
  • Russia could become too dependent on China for its gas sales.

As European LNG buyers are snapping up cargoes from the United States in a race to replace Russian pipeline deliveries, America has become a major supplier to Europe, and its sales to China have dwindled to just a few cargoes shipped so far this year.  Chinese imports of LNG from the U.S. plunged by 95% between February and April compared to the same period in 2021. Meanwhile, Chinese imports of LNG from Russia jumped by 50%, according to Chinese customs data cited by The Wall Street Journal.

That’s a major shift in U.S. LNG shipments to China. The United States was the largest supplier of spot LNG volumes to China last year, the EIA said last month.

So far this year, the United States has sent the occasional LNG cargo to China, but most exports have headed to Europe, which is paying more for spot LNG supply.

In April 2022 alone, five European countries—France, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, and Poland—accounted for 54.1% of total U.S. LNG exports, data from the U.S. Energy Department showed last week.

The European Union and the UK saw a record high level of LNG imports in April, as higher spot prices in Europe compared to Asia attracted suppliers with destination flexibility to ship LNG to Europe. Those suppliers were mostly from the United States, the EIA said earlier this month.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine and Europe’s resolve to kick its Russian energy addiction are changing global energy flows, not only in oil but also in gas.

Europe is pricing out Asia for spot deliveries and is turning to LNG, mostly from America, to cut its still heavy dependence on Russian gas. At the same time, China is buying more LNG from Russia, which the West doesn’t want to touch. High spot LNG prices and lackluster demand due to China’s zero-COVID lockdowns have significantly reduced Chinese appetite for U.S. LNG this year.

Related: India's Top Refiner Sees Oil Staying Above $100 This Year

Yet, scarce LNG imports from the U.S. in China will not persist for years to come because Chinese state majors and other energy firms have been signing long-term deals with American exporters in recent months. Some of those LNG deliveries will begin as soon as 2022 and 2023.

Nevertheless, the global energy trade flows are changing, and they are changing for good. Europe will not return to Russian energy and is on an irreversible path to cut off dependence on Russia’s oil and gas, sooner for oil than for gas.

Banned, sanctioned, and shunned in the West, Russia is now looking East to sell its energy. Analysts warn, however, that Russia—having no other choice—could become too dependent on China, especially for its gas sales. Moreover, the pipeline and LNG volumes Russia is sending to China are just a fraction of Russian pipeline exports to Europe, even as Russia has slashed gas supply to Europe in the past weeks.

Russia is already sending natural gas via pipeline to China through the Power of Siberia pipeline, which became operational at the end of 2019. There are plans for another major gas pipeline to deliver gas from Russia to China, but this will take years to complete and commission.

The European gas market remains far bigger and far more lucrative, says Nikos Tsafos, the James R. Schlesinger Chair in Energy and Geopolitics at the Energy Security and Climate Change Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

“Russia could eventually build a sizable business geared toward Asian markets, but the shift will be neither immediate nor easy, and it will depend critically on foreign partners, including China,” Tsafos wrote in an analysis last month.

“To secure a contract with China, Russia had to offer a bargain deal: China pays far less for Russian gas than Europe does,” he added.

I know you cannot accept facts.  But here is a fact from someone on the ground... Stakhanov is a small city in the Luhansk Oblast (region) of eastern Ukraine. It lies far from the line of fighting and NO troops are stationed there, Yet the Ukronazi forces are now shelling the city, attempting deliberately to kill unarmed civilians.  Truly, a war crime.

So now we know whom you support. Supporting Nazis and murderers makes you one of them.

It is obvious to any honest person that Russia lies to everyone, but especially its own people. The whole Ukrainian Nazi bullshit is ridiculous. Putin is the new Hitler just pretending to be a Christian and supporting a church that is run by him while other churches are suppressed and many made illegal.

Clearly, you know nothing about Putin, nor Hitler.  Who are the people in the regiment bearing swastika flags and tattoos? Not Russians.  Who uses the German language to give orders? Not Russians.

The people in Donetsk and Lugansk are not ethnic Ukrainians, and are fighting for their freedoms from a murderous regime. Yet you condemn them. Other regions have seen the success and they too wish to have their freedoms. You condemn them too.  How vile you are.

Let’s do the no fly zone. Be ready to nuke in retaliation, in fact expect Putin to nuke. There is no appeasing a monster. Let’s just be real.
The Ukraine is no longer enough. Putins military needs to be destroyed world over. The message needs to be very clear going forward. We will challenge any threat to free speech. There is no room for loyality.
All this reasoning, suprise, questioning of Putins mind, paper/mental barriers to helping Ukraining, misses the point. Misses the path. Misses the inevitable destruction reguardless of action.

I reckon the dumbest thing Biden did was to cancel the Keystone pipeline. Here in Australia, the Greens are trying to sabotage our economy and sovereignty too. They are totally clueless like Jay. As you know, I support strong action on climate change. But as a Physicist and Economist, it is abundantly clear that the transition cannot be done successfully without massive investment in nuclear and natural gas. It is a shame that Trump didn't even listen to scientists and neither does Biden.

Biden is boosting Russia greatly. They are selling half the oil as before. But, the price is triple. Even with 5-10% discounts to India and China, Russia's oil income is at an all time high. Putin is crying all the way to the bank.

Ha Ha, so is the US oil and gas industry. The difference is that is all Putin has, and not for much longer. I expect the Russian oil industry will collapse next year. So will any country that relies on Russia.

Are you nuts? There were never any Crimean Tatars in Donbass. There were in Crimea, but actually came after the Russians. Donbass has been Russia before Lenin reassigned it to newly created Soviet Ukraine. The first people in Crimea were the Greeks and the Scythians (whose next of kin today are the Ossetians), followed by Genoans (Italians?)

I believe it was Kruschov or Bresnev that gave the Donbass to Ukraine? Whoever your Ukranian leader of the USSR was at the time. So yes, the Donbass belongs to Russia but Putin made the fatal mistake of attacking Kiev after saying that he just wanted the Donbass back. Westerners don't like being blatantly lied to and we can be very unforgiving to terrorists like Putin and others before him.

Amazing to read this, coming from you. Which is why prior claims from you and others here, re China steals IP, are so blatantly full of shit.

True, the Chinese, like anybody, will take apart items to see how they tick. But to actually make the items requires capital, equipment, and expertise. Post WW2, the USA founded its NASA by stealing Germany's hardware and capturing Nazi scientists, all at gun point. Einstein was no Nazi, but he was indeed an import. China may have imported some expertise, but never sent its troops into another country to steal hardware and people.

In the case of electronics, the equipment must be imported. Given the hostile sanctions and trade-wars imposed by the USA and EU, China forged its own industry, equipment, expertise, using its own capital. During the endeavour, better and more efficient ways and means would be considered and fabricated. The result is a vertically integrated industry, forged entirely afresh by the Chinese.

In the case of smartphones, China has forged a 5G tech that is far superior to anything conceived by the USA and EU; now leading into 6G. The only component common to other phones is the main chip: as this ensure global compatibility for communications. But even these chips are now 'sanctioned' (blockaded), so China is now forging its own chips. Soon, silicon will be replaced by graphine.

None of the above resulted from reverse-engineering. As you say, reverse is often a waste of resources, and is certainly true for the IT industry. By the time anybody could reverse anything, requiring years, that tech will be obsolete. Far better is to design new and be 'ahead of the curve'.

Re Nuclear energy. The new reactor created by the Chinese, labelled The Sun, is a new paradigm and decades ahead of anything the US or EU can produce, let alone conceive. It is fission-fusion, the holy grail. True, it is nascent currently, but has excellent prospects to be completed. The world should hope and pray it comes soon, for it can operate without producing radioactive waste. But given the jealousy and hatred from the US and EU, will we see yet more excellent tech thwarted by such despicable morals?

Woo-hoo! You can make hypersonic missiles but you still haven't figured out how to let people vote freely? You communists remind me of ant-societies, fire-ants and army-ants in particular. Both pests that need to be destroyed.

Russia and the Russian people have lost the quality of their future life and their new generations. At least until they learn to act like good decent humans. The other is the Chinese "communist" party, which is actually a dictatorship that supports the North Korean puppet. The West can control the future of China if they do not help it with too much trade. Xi seems to be as self destructive as Putin. His evil intentions are just as visible.

Russia will not sell any more fossil fuels than it would have to Europe and they will sell it at lower prices and lower profits. The transportation of that fuel will be more costly too.

The Central Asian nations will be looking at themselves as potential future victims of Russia or China. Their future will depend on how they are able to stand up for themselves.

Indeed, Kazhakstan appears to be moving out of the Russian sphere and into the Turkish/NATO sphere very rapidly.
