Russia has an economy the size of Italy and is now spending billions to fight Ukraine while losing income it could have easily gotten from Europe if it were not so greedy to demand very high prices. Its war against Ukraine has turned the free world against it and increased our concerns about China, so China will not be producing as much as it was thus it will need less fuel from Russia and pay a lower price.

The war was a very vicious and stupid move by Putin and he will go down in history as another failed leader like Hitler. Russia will be a pawn of China.

So, how come you are having so much trouble squeezing this insignificant shrimp of an economy? Despite your mighty GDPs made out of swanky post-industrial services and denominated in coupons you can print at a whim? Could those be mostly hot air?

"Free world" is Newspeak again. More like residual Imperialists clinging to the last of the power they have. No avail. You are going down and going to have to work for living like the rest of the world does. Sorry, the "insufficiently free countries" in your twisted tongue.

Critical Thinking QUIZ – Do you believe the top U.S. Defense Official and all the Mainstream Media?  Yes or No.

Following the events of September 11th, 2001 when the THREE tall skyscrapers in New York City were demolished, the U.S. invaded Afghanistan on October 7th, 2001.

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was the top guy at the Pentagon.

-- December 2nd, 2001 –

NBC’s Meet The Press on December 2nd, 2001 with Tim Russert, the host of the program, talking to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

QUOTE Rumsfeld: “…This is serious business. And there’s not one of those. There are many of those. And they have been used very effectively. And I might add, Afghanistan is not the only country that has gone underground. Any number of countries have gone underground. ….”

All the Mainstream Media featured stories and images about these massive mountain cave fortress complexes spread throughout Afghanistan, complete with computers, bedrooms, offices, and truck drive-in entrances.

Here is the government’s transcript of that Sunday, December 2, 2001 “Meet the Press” interview.

The Independent headlined: "Al-Qa'ida almost 'immune to attack' inside its hi-tech underground lair." In the story, its correspondent Richard Lloyd Parry, in Jalalabad, described a vast redoubt burrowed deep under a mountain, with labyrinthian tunnels sealed by with iron doors. "It has its own ventilation system and its own power, created by a hydro-electric generator. Its walls and floors in the rooms are smooth and finished and it extends 350 yards beneath a solid mountain." It was therefore tunneled almost as deep as the World Trade Center was high. It was also " so well defended and concealed that – short of poison gas or a tactical nuclear weapon – it is immune to outside attack. And it is filled with heavily armed followers of Osama bin Laden, with a suicidal commitment to their cause and with nothing left to lose."
It further claimed that fortress was built " reportedly employing expertise from Mr bin Laden's Saudi construction businesses" and housed "as many as 2,000 Arab and foreign fighters." The story's putative unidentified witness— the lone deep throat— explained, "It's like a hotel, with doors on the left and the right."
The idea that Osama and his followers had entombed themselves in an unassailable fortress under a mountain immediately embedded itself into the imagination of the American press. The Associated Press put The Independent story on its services, which went to hundreds of major newspapers and broadcasting stations. ABC News re-headlined the story "Bin Laden Hide-out Resembles Hotel: Witness," depicting "The cave complex ... filled with bin Laden's fanatical followers." Yahoo noted in its Internet service "Bin Laden has reputedly built a fortress 1,150 feet (350 meters) beneath the mountains, equipped with water, electricity and ventilation and guarded by hundreds or thousands of fighters ready to die for their leader." CBS, expanding the story, reported that an Afghan "commander thinks bin Laden is in a cave fortress known as Tora Bora. The massive hideout was built by the U.S. to house forces fighting the Soviet Army in the 1980s. The complex - nicknamed "bin Laden's ant farm," is burrowed deep into Gree Khil peak -- soaring 13,000 feet above the village of Tora Bora. It is virtually impregnable -- a latticework of tunnels, storage rooms for arms and munitions, and accommodations for up to a thousand fighters. Ventilation shafts bring fresh air 1,200 feet inside the mountain. A nearby river provides hydroelectric power to the complex... at least 2,000 of bin Laden's al-Qaida fighters are believed to be hiding there," In the Los Angeles Times Professor Mark C. Taylor added to his essay on an ancient troglodyte Hittite city in Turkey that "This city and others like it provide the prototype for the underground fortresses where Bin Laden and his followers are presumed to be hiding;" The Atlanta Journal-Constitution put the underground city in context, saying "The bitter and brutal end game between Osama bin Laden and U.S.-led forces is being played out in a mountain fortress the CIA helped build... equipped with ventilation and hydroelectric power." This bunker-fortress, the story continued, "provides bin Laden with significant advantages... it is considered invulnerable even to bunker-busting bombs and impregnable to conventional military attack." The Times of London meanwhile illustrated its story with an artist's rendering of the underground fortress, which dwarfed even Hitler's infamous "eagle's nest" fortress.

The story probably reached its high point on NBC's Meet The Press on December 2nd when Tim Russert, the host of the program, provided Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld with the artist's rendering of bin Laden's fortress.

Yet amurcuns believe themselves not to be dumbed-down. Try holding a moot with any amurcun on any range of topics other than sports. Within minutes you will be facing a very agitated, violent humanoid. In fact, try finding an amurcun who knows what is a moot and how to conduct one. The amurcuns who may dispel this comment perhaps number one in a million, or say 380 in the entire country.

Puerto Rico is a USA colony. PR is formed as a Commonwealth (ie British). PRicans carry US passports. PRicans have NO right to vote in USA federal elections.  PR 'national' debt is 100% of GNP, and the govt adds $2.5bn annually to this debt. All industry is owned by Americans outside PR, as is much of the real estate. The profits and rents are not invested into PR.

Poverty in PR is 48%, with 57% of all children living in poverty. Among the highest in the world.

Thus the US military is one means PRicans can escape poverty.

Thus the US deep state has strong reasons to maintain poverty in USA and colonies.  Who else but the impoverished would choose between death by battle or death by hunger and disease?

But, what has PR to do with Ukraine?  Poverty?

Effectiveness of Ukraine's HIMARS Fuels Concern in Russia

Pro-Kremlin figures have expressed rare public concern after Western-supplied weapons allowed Ukraine to carry out a series of successful attacks on Russian targets far behind the frontlines.

The M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), which the United States started sending to Ukraine last month, appear to have been most effective at damaging Russian military positions.

Russia has suffered “large losses in both men and equipment” in less than a week, according to Igor Girkin, a former commander of separatist forces in eastern Ukraine.

“The Russian air defense systems… turned out to be ineffective against massive strikes by HIMARS missiles,” Girkin, who also goes by the alias Strelkov, wrote on messaging app Telegram on Sunday.

Alexander Sladkov, a prominent war correspondent for state-run broadcaster Rossia 1, said Monday that Ukraine had successfully attacked Russian command centers.

“Ukrainian missiles and artillery have struck decision-making centers several times. With results. The centers are small but important,” Sladkov said on Telegram.

HIMARS can hit targets up to 70 kilometers away, meaning Ukrainian troops can deploy the wheeled, high-tech lightweight rocket launcher outside the range of most Russian artillery.

Reports from authorities in separatist- and Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine also indicate that attacks are becoming both more frequent, and more deadly.

Officials in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic said Monday that at least three people were killed and dozens injured in the village of Stepano-Krinka following a Ukrainian HIMARS attack.

Ukrainian forces also used HIMARS to hit the city of Alchevsk and the village of Irmino over the weekend, according to the separatist authorities.

Both Stepano-Krinka and Alchevsk are dozens of kilometers behind the frontline.

In a Telegram post accompanied by videos of large fires, Russian state television journalist Andrei Rudenko said Sunday that the Ukrainian side “most likely” used HIMARS to hit ammunition stores in the towns of Shakhtarsk and Torez.

“Strong fires and explosions… The situation is horrible,” Rudenko wrote.

The Ukrainian military carried out 14 strikes on Russian ammunition stores and military bases on Russian-occupied territory in the past two weeks, the BBC's Ukrainian service reported Monday. While it is unclear whether HIMARS were used in all cases, BBC Ukrainian said the strikes’ accuracy indicated they were responsible.

“Over the last 5-6 days, more than 10 large dumps for artillery and other ammunition, several oil depots, about 10 command centers and about the same number of troop gathering points were hit,” ex-rebel commander Girkin said.

Russia's Defense Ministry claimed Monday that it had used Kalibr cruise missiles to destroy Ukrainian ammunition depots in the Dnipropetrovsk region that included rockets for HIMARS, although the claim could not be independently verified.

Russia said last week that it had destroyed two HIMARS rocket systems and ammunition depots in eastern Ukraine, but both Ukrainian and U.S. officials rejected these claims.

Washington last week announced a new weapons package for Ukraine worth up to $400 million that includes four additional HIMARS.

The new deliveries will bring the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ HIMARS arsenal to 12.

Ex-rebel leader Strelkov said the Russian Armed Forces should be trying to destroy Ukrainian infrastructure so HIMARS systems and ammunition cannot reach the battlefield.

“When will Russia’s Armed Forces start fighting to their full capacity?” he wrote.

For about 20 yrs, Ukraine begged USA for 'advanced' weapons. Refused every time. Reasons?... Russia might capture and reverse-engineer them!

Indeed. The photo shows but a few of the weapons captured. Seems the capture of 'advanced' weapons no longer matters to the USA?  In any case, the Russians conclude USA weapons are inferior.

HIMAR is easily tracked, undefended, and easily destroyed. 12 will not have much effect on the final outcome.

The longer the amurcuns aid and abet Zilenshit, the more loss of military; now, at least 1000 soldiers daily; and civilians whom the Ukronazis use as human shields. This is now a fact.

Russia is in no rush to end this conflict. Outnumberd 10;1, Russia has liberated large territory, and can destroy Ukro infrastructure easily as and when P chooses. Prolonging this will not drain Russia: it will drain Europe, and cause the Europeans to revolt against their governments. This is now a fact too. EU will lose big time.

USA will try to force EU to buy USA shale gas, and become a vassal of USA. USA gains by EU loss: but, could be temporary. EU loses also by inflation; so does USA. Russia will sell huge quantities of gas and oil into China, at discount prices. Both gain. Ruble is stronger now than ante bellum, another fact.

How much longer will dumb-shit amurcuns tolerate the cost and resulting inflation?  Seemingly a long while, for amurcuns are too stupid and cowardly to do anything.

Love NATO ......Russia is now fucked.....I bet you Putin is still trying to figure out how it all went wrong.  NATO will be on Russias doorstep from the artic to the Crimea in just a few short Months. When is Finland and Sweden full members of NATO??? this summer???? At this point Ukraine is a de facto member of NATO.....Enjoy the new reality. Russia is now just another Cuba....with one exception ...Cuba has nice beaches....No one will ever visit Russia......

How many Russians have died to date in their botched invasion????? 37,000???? even Putin can not deal with the reality.  His great expansion ended up into his great Isolation. Putin will need to build a wall to keep Russians from leaving en masse......

200 Russian Soldiers Dead, 300 Injured

International Business Times

https://www.ibtimes.com/200-russian-soldiers-dead-300-injured-after-ukraine-army-destroys-russia-base-3563211

After Ukraine Army Destroys Russia Base

KEY POINTS

  • Ukrainian forces attacked warehouses where Russians stored fuel and ammunition
  • The forces also destroyed an area that Russians converted into barracks
  • More than 36,000 Russian soldiers are estimated to have died since the war began in February

More than 200 Russian soldiers have died and another 300 sustained injuries after Ukrainian forces attacked a Russian military base in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol.

Ivan Fedorov, the mayor of Melitopol, said the Kremlin’s forces suffered massive losses after Ukrainian soldiers struck four Russian military bases in Melitopol, including warehouses where they keep fuel and ammunition as well as an area that was converted into a barracks by Russian soldiers.

"More than 200 Ruscists were completely destroyed; this is not according to the official, but according to fairly reliable information. More than 300 Ruscists were injured," Fedorov said in a video posted on his official Telegram channel.

Federov added that they are now preparing to accommodate a large flow of residents who want to evacuate to the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhya.

Since the beginning of the war, Russia has suffered massive losses among its military forces. As of Tuesday, a total of 36,350 Russian soldiers lost their lives since the war began in February, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The increasing deaths among the Russians have led to low morale among troops. On July 3, the Ministry of Defense’s Chief Intelligence Directorate released a recording of an intercepted phone call where a Russian soldier revealed that troops in the fourth battalion captured their own commander after he tried to flee the war.

"They forced him to stay, so he wouldn’t (run away). That’s because they have a number of 300s (wounded) which is f***ing huge. And we also loaded and prepared our cars yesterday, for getting away from here. But we received an order to stay. Yesterday, more than 20 300s (more than 20 wounded soldiers) were driven away," the soldier said.

The recording followed an earlier report from Ukraine’s Chief Intelligence Directorate about a wave of resignations among the Russian military and law enforcement service, with fewer Russians willing to enlist and join the war in Ukraine.

In late June, a group of women living in the Russia’s Republic of Buryatia demanded the local government to recall their husbands who were deployed to the war in Ukraine after 30 soldiers from their brigade were killed.

Two years later, potentially electable Democrats will have no chance in money primary and the media, so Trump, older than even less coherent than before, will win (Americans seem to love incoherent babble, if a candidate is less of a brainiac that he has to have big heart, unwavering resolve and all such).  Then Russia will loose the advantage of having one-party government.  I am not sure if this is an advantage, but Russia will loose it.

That didn’t happen in American politics. Putin was accused of helping Trump against Hillary and the Dems. That’s right, look at the big trucks that fire missiles up to 100 miles the Ukrainians are using. I see they are taking out ammunition’s depots that previously could not be reached. So far missiles that could reach Moscow/600 miles have not been given to the Ukrainians. Thank the Dems for that. Howitzers that have a 25 mile range are also being used. Better learn to hide.

They always had those trucks. The difference is in the new quality of intelligence they got for targeting. In general, was MLRS artillery never a US/Western thing. I don't see any particular advantage of HIMARS to Soviet/Russian systems, except maybe faster reloads.

Put Put wont be liking this at all!

These are Volkssturm units of no experience whatsoever. More trouble than their worth in cannon fodder. A much better idea would be to let them continue their productive jobs. This will just wreck what Ukraine has left of an economy.

Army of a Million. A Ukraine "Fata Morgana" (Mirage)

Let's give it a try.

Today 250'000 Soldiers in 4 Weeks 1 Mio.

Number of AK-74 seems possible. (Standard Rifle for Ukaine) But not the Ammunition. If every Soldier shoots 30 Rounds (1 Mag per day) we where close to 1 Billion rounds a Month. Do you think Ukraine can transport 1 Mio. Soldiers not even by Railway. Problem 2. For the AK only Russia can produce that many rounds. Not to mention all those spare parts. The shift to this strategy will exhaust the Ukraine Warehouses and equipment by a factor 4-6. Not even to mention all those MRE.

And those 1 Mio. Guys need a "Salary". USD 500 a Month. Give your calculator a chance.

Russia on the other hands writes a 20 Billion surplus despite all 6 Sanction packages. Those Himars may have an temporary advantage for a week or so. Think 1000 km Distance means New York - Chicago or Zuerich - Hamburg. I think a few of them are damaged and that's the reason that 4 new ones get transferred. But US is way behind in sending the Equipment. I mean weeks till 2 Months.

Reparing Himars is not possible in Ukraine.

First of all.

If this is going to be long conflict so how Ukraine plan to survive next winter?

No NG. No coal. Electricity is now limited and thats rather not a big problem to escalate and destroy remaining electric plants.

So time is not on ukrainian side when winter is coming in next few months.
