Natural gas is the future of clean energy.

Recommended Posts

(edited)

Natural gas is the future of energy. It is more abundant, cleaner, and cheaper than any other affordable fuel source. It is growing in use as compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquified natural gas (LNG). Oil is more convenient to store because of natural energy density but requires more refining. The price of energy options makes natural gas the top choice for future energy use. Please see the references below.

tell us something we do not know... :)

Unlike oil, gas cannot be easily transported overseas - hence need for multi-billion investment into liquefaction capacity and LNG carriers. Just like with Electric Vehicles, infrastructure to charge is absent. But it makes a lot of sense to power buses and trucks as it makes for cleaner air (burning produces harmless H2O and CO2); hopefully we'll see more of it. China is cleaning up their act big time with mandated transition from local crap coal.

Well Far East Energey Corp was fracking at one point so that means a lot of methane gas, and furthermore for the next 50 to 100 years we could pipe under Maine and run let’s say Arkla gas under neath do you relieze how much oil 2 and kerasene we burn through every winter?

I say that the most affordable fuel source is nuclear, Thorium & Uranium it can be found everywhere, has 2 million times the energy density of Methane & Ethane and the fission products can be converted to precious metals

But, the natural gas can be used more widely nuclear is only good for power generation and ships.

Give us pipelines! Everyone says more natural gas, but we're all informed about the horrors of building a pipeline.  Permission from surface owners, states, the BLM and that's just the beginning.  then, the environmentalists!  But they'll drive, fly, heat and a.c. everything they own and scream to stop the industry from giving them what they want, oh, and let's not forget computers, TV, WiFi, flying, the protection by the military, but my God don't build that pipine!

Some seem to believe natural gas also has a bright future as a replacement for gasoline. I'm not so sure myself but who knows. Apparently, CNG engines perform as well as gasoline ones, which did not use to be the case a couple of decades ago. There is the problem with fueling networks, though.
