How vulnerable is US power grid

Recommended Posts

Much of this infrastructure is well beyond original life expectancy. Legacy systems have been in place for well over 40, 50 and in some instances, 80 years. If George Westinghouse and Nikola Tesla could visit a modern power station, they’d recognize the underlying structure as something they helped create.

Maybe all those that got all the money from the tax cuts will donate it to make a better grid?

Vulnerabilities in the power grid along with renewable energy should be a big focus with infrastructure.

Currently, the grid needs an estimated trillion dollars worth of repairs and upgrades. Power companies, many of which run on a narrow margin, say they can’t afford to replace aged equipment
