Awww, what a cute conspiracy theory.

Now for the facts: fracking needs a lot of unpopulated land to work. In Europe there is nowhere near that much available land. Then there's more land necessary for the wastewater reservoirs, which, accidentally, not Moscow but the USGS has linked to increased seismic activity. In short: fracking needs space. Europe has no such space. Ask the Poles, after all, even they gave up.

Actually, it wasn't the Russians who paid the pipeline protesters, it was the local home-grown variety of hysteria:

“If you are BLM or anti Trump you will also get paid to join my protest,” the ad said, noting that they need bodies there. “Just tonight we shut down the Veterans bridge. Get involved people save mother earth.”

 

 

(For non-U.S. lurkers, BLM is Black Lives Matter.  Although oddly enough I hadn't realized that oil pipelines were racist.)
