I wonder if the writer managed to keep a straight face writing this lead. Meanwhile, I hear Russia has also introduced tariffs on US products to retaliate for the aluminium ones.

Metals are definitely in a state of "disorder", and not just because of the tariff game. Look at platinum's plunge, for instance, as diesel engines drop out and EVs gain traction.

You know, it feels like everything is about EVs these days. Nickel's also facing a very, very bright future because of EV demand forecasts. It's like if you can't put it in an EV, it's not worth mining it.
