How to Replace the California Gas Tax Law if it’s Repealed

Recommended Posts

With California's fuel costs among the highest in the country, the public did NOT vote for the SB1 tax that was added in 2017. This year, the public will get a chance to repeal the latest gas tax, with the carrot that a new initiative will dedicate what we’re already paying in State taxes and fees for fuels on the posted pump price, plus new car sales taxes, JUST to infrastructure which would net more dollars each year to infrastructure without any new fuel taxes.

The best thing I saw in the post was reference to a constitutionally locked fund, a necessity these days to keep legislators out of what they consider their personal ATM.
