Libyan Oil Workers Abducted, Sharara Production to Fall

Recommended Posts

I missed the next potential drop in Libyan oil production after the abduction of oil workers from the Sharara oilfield over the weekend, following an attack. But information coming out of Libya right now is questionable at best. What confused me is that there were earlier reports that this field, which had apparently been producing up to 300,000 bpd, had been down to 100,000 bpd regardless; but now reports are saying that the attack will fall by 160,000 bpd--so the numbers aren't adding up unless it's going to produce negative barrels ... anyone have a better handle on this?

There has never been progress in a country where there is permanent political instability especially perpetrated by enemies of that country.God protects.
