Russia's "fake news" bill

Lawmakers in Russia introduced a bill to fine companies for “inaccurate" comments users post on their platforms. Under the proposed law, websites with user counts over 100,000 could face fines as high as $800,000 for not taking down user posts spreading fake information within 24 hours.

Unrelated question: It seems that shares in Russian aluminum producer Rusal jumped to a three-month high after US Treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin suggested the US was open to finding a solution to sanctions placed on the company. Is this one of the verbal agreements Trump made with Putin??

In a situation where there is a very strong antirussian bias in western media en masse I really cant condemn this law.
