Production Estimates: Who Do We Believe?

A few days ago Reuters estimated OPEC's July production had only inched up by 70,000 bpd. Now S&P Platts says it estimated it had boomed by 340,000 bpd. These are very different figures and the sources are both supposed to be credible. Who does one believe? After all, these estimates can and do move prices.
