The 30 year cooling cycle Tom Nolan and the linked article is referring to might be a projection by this scientist in England, concerning a grand solar minimum. Such events are known to have had an effect on climate in the past (climate varies naturally) including strong evidence of links with the Medieval Warming period and Little Ice Age and so on. Just how much effect it will have on modern climate remains to be seen. The scientist herself has said she is not taking into account any of the effects from emissions. The "numerous experts" comment is going too far, however.
