Facing increasingly ambitious cost and emissions targets, weight watching is back in vogue among automotive engineers, especially now in ongoing transition to EVs. They are claiming EV makers could save  €10 worth of lithium-ion in the batteries.

Of course they are working on lightweighting now after they made large EVs to meet customer's wishes for comfort. And there has been an uptick in the weight of batteries.

I'll try to be more clear about this. Since the battery's weight is directly proportional to the chassis weight, for every kilogram taken out of the chassis, you save 10 euros worth of lithium-ion in the batteries.
