20-Hour Flight Anyone?

Qantas has announced Boeing and Airbus have designed aircraft capable of non-stop flights between Sydney and London or New York. My only question is: why? Who'd be willing to sit in a plane for TWENTY hours? Even with gyms and whatever. I admit I get restless after 2 hours on a plane, so there's that but, on a more reasonable note, how economically viable would such a flight be?
