It was just about time to start talking about those waivers. Interestingly, the report on waivers comes after TankerTrackers has been reporting for days that Iranian tankers are traveling to India, loaded, no less, disputing reports of falling exports, including from Iranian sources. Now, the narrative is that Washington wanted to see some effort at cutting Iranian imports to grant waivers. Remember that Modern Family episode where Cameron asked for ten times what he actually wanted to make sure he gets it? Same tactic here, I think. I refuse to believe anyone actually expected anyone to go down to zero permanently.
