Recommended Posts

Even though the use of renewables is expected to grow faster than fossil fuels, reports from US EIA, said that 77% of all energy in the world by the 2040 will be covered by coal, oil and natural gas.By same report energy-related CO2 emissions are likely to rise by 16%.

Well , we cant simply abandon all machine burning fossil at one time, there will be upping of emission energy efficiency retrofit device like exhaust gas after filter hybrid or renewable with existing plant. I read how NYC released fossil fuel war, one of the richest industry on earth today. City officials have set a goal of divesting New York’s $189 bn pension funds from fossil fuel companies within five years in what they say would be “among the most significant divestment efforts in the world to date”.

Every city needs to do this. But, sometimes, money of big companies has the advantage.

I wish all states did this because these large corporations hide their money in offshore accounts, so they don't have to pay taxes. Save our planet and climate.

That's a great news indeed, we got to switch from fossil fuels ASAP. We need renewable and decentralized sources of energy, in the long run, maintaining this levels of consumerism for fossil fuel will probably plunge us into a very nasty crisis.

It makes financial sense . And will have a result. Been waiting several years for the world to catch on.

Will the invest that money in renewable energy or ending homelessness, hunger? It would be good to know. Divesting is great. But it's only half the equation.

It’s great to make a change for the future. Fossil fuels, one day, will be past. Not so soon, but will be.

I think it makes more sense to look at this country-by-country. In some places, by 2040, it might seem like renewable heaven ... looking at it globally is dismal.

The end of fossils sparks the start of hydrogen electrification.

When people start to perceive that 5 billion is just a number and that it only holds its value because we think it has value, then things will start to change, but until then you can try and keep the system running but it will cost the earth in the end.

Water is, I'm speaking sarcastically, overrated!! Who needs water when we can burn fossil fuels with abandon! People preferred burning fossil fuels rather than adjusting our behavior to conserve water.. so, what is future?

The climate change advances by dam construction, deforestation, grazing, the development including the expressway construction!
A green economic principle is necessary!
