Natural gas prices are soaring today - looks like an early November cold blast has had its impact on inventories.

That report about 'floating cargo that is unsold, was essentially a hit piece against LNGC companies. I tracked Golars' fleet, for example, and they have since delivered shipments to Japan, S korea, and China from Australia, Malaysia and Qatar during the period referenced in the article.

Beijing will be freezing (31 F tomorrow night) and begging for LNG. Last winter there were several tragedies where families did not have heating and froze to death in China. Homes have been upgraded, and their capacity to consume natural gas has increased, as well as their appetite for natural gas heating.

Pure necessity is the ultimate source of demand.
