Will Tesla Really Ship 3,000 EVs a Week to Europe?

Recommended Posts

Tesla recently announced that Model 3 will also be available in Europe from February. According to According to Belgian media, Tesla plans to ship 3,000 vehicles per week to Europe starting in February. Earlier this month, Tesla opened orders for the Model 3 in Europe. The automaker has been talking about starting volume production for the European markets in January. Following a few weeks of transit, the vehicles should arrive in Europe for the first deliveries in February.

The volume is expected to be quite significant considering Tesla has been able to maintain a demand of over 4,000 Model 3’s per week in North America and the demand for the vehicle is expected to be similar in size in Europe.

It's going to be interesting to see the demand in Europe as nationalism may come into the equation and European cars may be favoured. But I expect to see high sale figures, demand in Europe for EV's far out weigh's supply. Also will be interesting once the major backlog of orders are completed is to see the steady demand in the USA, although when the $35,000 version comes out this should boost sales.
